Courtyard Rochester East / Penfield

Our son just wrapped up his freshman year at Fisher so each visit we've been trying different places in the surrounding area looking for a go to. This def isn't it however we will give it another try in hopes of getting an even number room not on the highway side. Our Marriott gold status was not acknowledged at check in and we clearly were not given any preference being put on the noisy highway side of the building. The clock had the wrong time, the tissue box had a bunch stuffed back in the top and the shower door slid open while in use. Those are easily fixable items that should not have greeted us. Other misses are the bathroom door and the toilet are literally right on top of one another. Hallway was noisy with heavy slamming doors. No exhaust fan in the bath, no makeup mirror. The toilet also flushed ludicrously loud. The bath towels are kid sized. There is only one elevator. Pros are the nice sized cold refrigerator and good sized love seat. Room itself was also a good size. We have 3 years to go so we'll maybe give it another chance and hope some of the above might be addressed in the meantime.

Everyone we spoke to was a delight and we had a lovely stay. Good distance from downtown but set back in a safe and quiet area.

Needed a peaceful night and that is what I got.

Internet connection is terrible. Really annoying to have to pay for breakfast. Most all competitors offer free breakfast. Not even free coffee here. Will not be staying at a Courtyard again.

I've stayed here before and am sad to say it is not the same. The lobby restaurant/bar was closed, you had to ask for housekeeping if you were staying more than a night, the elevator shook side to side, housekeeping knocking pre-checkout time (with a do not disturb sign on the door) on departure day, some of the front desk staff looked like they rolled into work in pajamas, and the general common areas were not nearly as well-kept or inviting as it had been in the past. I'll look for other options next time I am in town.

I loved the hotel where it was located beautiful area.. Away from overall 5 stars was the bathroom was really small

Clean and comfortable room.

Nice to have a Starbucks option; but surprised at the absence of complimentary coffee and breakfast in the lobby.

Very accommodating. I needed a 4 p.m. checked to a child’s sporting event in town. Management was more than accommodating at no additional cost even though I offered to pay.

Everything. Clean, friendly, and convenient.
