La Casa de Chamo

Amazing hosts. Accommodating and made us feel welcome. Lovely terrace area and kitchenette. 20 min walk to the centre or taxi.

The owners of the property are incredibly kind and helpful. They were happy to let us in to the property when our bus arrived early in the morning and welcomed us with a hot drink. They were helpful throughout the stay. There is a lovely balcony with great views too. It’s a great location and walkable to central areas.

Chamo and his wife are really nice hosts and always made sure we had everything we needed. The location is not very central, but it is super easy to get to the city center by bus or taxi. Great accommodation for budget travelers!

It can be a bit noisy at night with people coming and leaving.

Very welcoming and warm house, you immediatly feel at home. The shower is nice. The hosts are very very nice, we had lots of fun with Chamo and Anita. They helped us a lot and we've had a wonderful time there.

Very nice hostel, not too big nor too small. The open-air kitchen is very beautiful and the terrace too!

The shared bathroom was a bit smaller than expected.

A great hostel that deserves the praise that others have written about it. Fantastic owners who go far and beyond what they are required to do. Nice upstairs chill area. Very strong and stable Internet which has become sadly a rarity in Arequipa the past year (I have been in and out of Arequipa for a few years). The local market across the street is actually mush bigger than the one tourists visit near the city center. Safe neighborhood and the historic center is walkable.

We loved our stay at La casa de Chamo. The hosts were super friendly and helpful. We enjoyed everything, thanks again.
