Burnside Cottage

Stylish, big, comfortable and clean room, with a super thoughtful and caring host! Both breakfast and dinner was delicious, served in the room due to COVID.

Burnside cottage was perfect and a great location for a couple of nights stop on the NC500. It gave us the opportunity to explore the East Coast before travelling West. The hosts were very accommodating and always on hand if we needed anything.

We had a superb time at Burnside Cottage B&B and would highly recommend staying here. The service was impeccable, homemade food was fresh and absolutely delicious (evening meals and breakfast), and Kacey went above and beyond to make sure we had a lovely stay - even providing a list of local attractions for us to explore. A true gem of a place to stay. The room was amazing with added extras such as milk and the best homemade cookies. The host made us feel extremely welcone and has very useful local knowledge. Breakfast and dinner, well what can I say. Some of the best food in ages. The place to stay around John o'Groats.

My partner and I had such a lovely stay at Burnside. Kacey was incredibly welcoming and had been very responsive and helpful in the lead up to our trip. Kacey was also very accommodating - we were so knackered after our trip to Orkney that we didn't want to go out to find somewhere to eat so she kindly made us dinner on short notice which we appreciated. The room itself was lovely and has everything you need. We were the only guests, so it was very quiet. The only thing that I might suggest that would be helpful is to have information on things to do in the area with Kacey's top tips and hidden gems.

Simply stated, this is was the best B&B I have ever stayed at. It was spotless, well stocked with tea/coffee/biscuits, conveniently located, and the hosts -- Kacey and Stephen -- couldn't have been nicer. The breakfast was superb and delivered to our room. The other big bonus was the parking. We were touring Scotland via the North Coast 500 route in our classic cars. We were pleasantly surprised to see the spacious and safe on-site parking at Burnside Cottage. Overall, this was a fabulous stop which I hope I can visit again in future.

What a fantastic B&B. The Grey Suite is beautifully furnished with lovely views over the fields. The owner was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was really tasty. The B&B felt very clean and Covid secure. I would highly recommend a stay here.
