Nous devions accéder à nos chambres par un escalier derrière la maison, en passant près des débarras, des fils électriques qui pendaient,…. Très peu de pression dans la douche.

We booked an extra night directly with the owners via WhatsApp. The owner cancelled the extra night a few days before we were due to arrive and claimed it was never booked despite them sending me a message on Whatsapp confirming it. They also cancelled my brother's booking at short notice and claimed that they thought it was a duplicate of my reservation. The only similarities between both bookings were the dates. Do not trust these people.

Good location, couple of minutes away from shops and restaurants and a few more minutes to the beach. Lovely security guy who was very friendly. Pool was a great size, very clean. Breakfast was nice although served person by person so we never really ate together - by the time the last breakfast came out the first of us had finished.

A few niggles. The air con didn’t really work well in the main living area. Maybe it was lost in translation but had to say several times that it wasn’t working before the owner said she would look at it. The next day it was looked at and did improve a bit but never got really cool in the living space. This isn’t really a villa in the European sense but a home stay where you can rent all of the rooms, either individually or collectively. So while each individual bedroom has a key, you don’t get a key for the main property door (we did ask). Security were around but as there is more than one “villa” on site and there were other guests staying renting rooms individually we always felt like we couldn’t just leave stuff out in the kitchen or living area. Doors were often left open during the day when we were out leaving to our not feeling massively comfortable leaving stuff lying around which is part of what I like about a villa - being able to feel at home. We asked for a rental bike for one day which came, and was used for a day. It was never taken away (and not used again) then we were charged for the full time it sat there (5 days) because “we didn’t ask for it to be removed”. Similarly we were charged more for laundry than it said in the booklet at the property. Small beer in the scheme of things but it felt like opportunity was taken to squeeze every last penny out of guests. This wasn’t a bad place to stay, but I’d not rush back, I think there are better places to stay in the area and aside from the lovely security guy who was super friendly, it felt like you were a commodity rather than a guest.

The staff were absolutely lovely and after our son got injured at An Bang beach and ended up in hospital they went out of their way to come and check up on us to make sure he was ok. It was a great location with a very clean pool and extremely generous breakfast. We also got a lovely basket from the owners following my son’s injury.

Initially we didn’t like the idea of our villa opening up directly by the pool with other guests walking through our kitchen (only because they didn’t realise it was our villa) however we soon realised that’s how all the accommodation and villas in the area are like and it wasn’t really much of an issue for us. However it would have been good for this to be clearly explained in the description so people know exactly what they’re booking.

Great quiet spot, 5 mins walk to the beach. Lovely pool. It’s nicer to be in this part of the village as it’s quiet and relaxing. Also lovely staff and breakfast
