Chay Villas An Bang

This was a fantastic spot to base ourselves near Hoi An. Phung the host was friendly, and they security guard was very nice. Cheap beers at the 'botttle-o' across the road. Breakfast was delicious, and the entire place was very nice.

The room was super clean and spacious! Breakfast everyday was so delicious and we had a lot of different options. We didn’t realise how far it was from Hoi An ancient town but this actually ended up being a plus for us as it was away from the hustle and bustle of it all! Very beautiful property with amazing staff! Would highly recommend!

The only slight negative for our stay was that the ro was up 3 sets of stairs. Was fine for me but for my 60yo mum it took a little bit out of her getting up and down. Not the properties fault though, just something to be aware of when booking!

The location is quiet, close to the city, and near the beach.

I don’t understand where all those reviews come from. Neither the reviews nor the pictures show what the hotel is really like. However, the reality does not match the pictures. We booked the suite hoping for a relaxing weekend, but the lounge chair shown in the pictures simply doesn’t exist. The bathtub was so dirty that we had to clean it ourselves with a towel before using it (!) just to remove the worst of the grime left by previous guests. The room itself has mold, yet opening the windows isn’t an option due to the lack of mosquito screens and the presence of mosquitoes. The air conditioning also has a strong unpleasant smell, so that wasn’t an alternative either. Sleeping in what felt like 100% humidity was the result. Overall, the rooms are in desperate need of a proper cleaning and renovation. We strongly advise against staying here if cleanliness is important to you.
