Great Place! Met my sister for a long weekend. We both were impressed and really enjoyed our stay. Great location, nice rooms, comfortable beds, great service and charming atmosphere. The amenities are fabulous! Relaxing outdoor courtyard with plenty of comfy seating, firepits and beautiful fountain. Fun bar, good restaurant and nice pool. Would highly recommend!

Milks House is in the perfect location; easy walking distance to all of the downtown sites. The lobby area was lovely, comfortable for a drink & a chat, and smelled great. Our room was a nice size with a view of the water. However, our room had zero vanity space around the sink; I had to store our toiletries in a drawer & above the coffeemaker. The only true downside was the weak & fluctuating water pressure; showers were not relaxing, and other guests said the same as we chatted, so it wasn’t just our room. The front desk and valets, along with housekeeping, were super helpful & friendly. No real problems; we loved it. I will definitely return to Mills House!!

The hotel was extraordinary in all respects except housekeeping. Housekeeping was a big disappointment. They did not change towels although used towels were on the floor, they did not refill an empty tissue box, they did not replace hot cups that were requested. We had to call front desk to get those things. The front desk personnel were excellent and made us feel very welcome. Of course these are first world problems and we are not complaining, just pointing it out so you can instruct the staff.

Went for my husband's 40th birthday. Spent 2 nights at the hotel (Saturday-Monday). Was able to check in around 2 pm without a problem. Valet and bellhop service was prompt and friendly. There aren't many lounge chairs on the pool deck, as it is a small area, so finding a chair or two together could be difficult. There are other chair options down the steps near the bar. Pool bar service was good for lunch on Sunday, food came out quickly after being ordered and was delivered to our seats. The fish tacos were tasty! Room was clean, beds and pillows were comfortable. 2 queen room on pool deck did not have any sort of desk/table and chair so it was difficult for my husband to use his computer. I inquired via the hotel chat about if there was a work or conference room area that he could use, however I was informed there was not. I liked the convenience of being on the pool deck and did not feel it was too loud on the Saturday night. The young woman working in the hotel gift shop was not very friendly - walked in with my daughter to look around and was not acknowledged, even though we were the only two people in this tiny shop. Then a few more people walked in and the girl did not greet or even look at them either. Did not purchase anything. One thing that disappointed me was that my sister in law called ahead to ask if she could have something special in the room for my husband for his birthday, such as flowers or a special touch (of course she would pay for this) but was told they don't do that and that she could check with a local florist to see if they would deliver to the room. She did not feel comfortable doing that as that would require having someone who didn't work for the hotel entering our hotel room, which did not seem safe. Strange that a well known, high end hotel would not have options for surprises like this. Overall we liked staying at this hotel. It is in a good location near King St. shopping and all the good restaurants. Took a rickshaw to dinner and walked to the park. Safe part of town and very historic. Would stay here again but would try to upgrade to a larger room with desk area.

I will ONLY stay at Mills House. Every year, I travel to Charleston for research & development with my team. We stay here. The location, the staff, the rooms - everything is PERFECT.

While the property is lovely, we would probably not stay here again. The housekeeping service is nonexistent and the water pressure completely turned off for multiple seconds at a time while I was showering. Great location and as stated, it is a very pretty hotel but the value just wasn’t there for just south of $1k/ night. We will opt for the Bennett on our next trip.

Great location, walking distance to everything. Cute hotel, attentive staff. Older hotel but very clean and comfortable
