Grand Bay Hotel San Francisco

Had a great stay at the Grand Bay Hotel in Redwood Shores! The hotel is comfortable and welcoming, and I felt right at home. I especially enjoyed dining in the restaurant—Alicia was my server and she was so attentive and friendly, making me feel truly looked after. The food was excellent, with a variety of tasty options. Wonderful service and a great experience for solo travelers. Highly recommend!

Just enjoyed another fine stay at this hotel. Rooms are nice and roomy, would like comfier pillows, but a great hotel.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Grand Bay. The location was convenient since it was only a few minutes away from the Redwood City Courthouse, where I had court business. The bed and pillows were the most comfortable I’ve ever had in any hotel, and as a flight attendant I’ve stayed in a LOT of hotels. I also enjoyed the water view from my room, and walking by the lagoon. However, the absolute highlight of my stay was the excellent service that I received from Benny in the Waterfront Restaurant! He was attentive, kind, prompt, and overall made sure that I enjoyed what I ordered. What a star employee! I was also happy to see the bottles of water and a Keurig coffeemaker in my room, as well as a refrigerator. Leo, at the front desk, made a great first impression by giving me a warm welcome and was so pleasant to speak with!

The Grand Bay Hotel offers spacious rooms with comfortable chairs for reading or watching TV and ample desks for working. I particularly appreciated the restaurant, which offered a variety of dinner options so I didn't have to venture out. The service was good, the staff friendly. The hotel is close to SFO, convenient for catching a flight.

Everything was ok but bed was very uncomfortable. Mattress was in bad condition and gave us backache.

When I checked in, I walked into a room that appeared to be occupied with shoes, a bag and towels on the ground. When I went back to the front desk, I was told "oh that's weird". I was given another room down the hall, but it was a terrible experience overall, and I was shocked there wasn't more empathy or at least an apology for such a shocking and poor experience.

We were there for a family wedding- we liked that there were areas to gather to sit with family. The dining options were a bit limited by time and menu. The staff were mostly unwilling to offer separate checks to our party. The wedding itself was wonderful.

Beautiful hotel. Nice views. Very quiet area. The complimentary room upgrade was so sweet. The room was so spacious and the bed was super comfortable. Good food at the restaurant too.
