2417 at Lihue Oceanfront Resort

Our room maid. I can't remember her name, but she was one of the best we have ever had. The gift shop ladies worked very hard trying to sell me the frito chips, it wasn't in the computer. That was frustrating. But it worked out.

Staff were a bit grouchy at times, maids didnt clean rooms until really late

It is a nice getting away and is secluded. Property is well maintained, clean and has a nice pool. Every staff member we encountered was nice and accommodating. The various happy hours were nice.

Not enough seating around the pool. People would “reserve” chairs by putting towels/ belongings on them early in the morning but never show up. The locals came with their families on Saturdays and Sundays for most of the day. Some came Monday afternoon. So less seating available for guests. Fitness “center” needs to be updated with new and more equipment and air conditioned.

Property is very good with 4+swimming pool and 3+ jacuzzi’s. Resort clean and nice close to Lihue Airport, close to POIPU beach, Shiva Temple, Lydgate Beach etc. only our booking through Expedia ( 3rd party) reservation hotel says we are not getting room service. There is no water bottles in the room.

Gardens and the pool are beautiful - I loved looking out at the gardens or enjoying them by the pool.

Room was a bit dated but understand a reno is happening
