Nothing really

- the room was awful, a roadside hotel is so much better for less the money. - tiny room, the AC doesn't let you sleep - the shower is so tiny, thankfully I'm not overweight but I can't imagine someone large wouldn't fit in there - the curtains don't close - the was no conditioner - hand lotion was used - we almost leave after checking in

The room was not clean. Everything felt very dirty. There was a spider crawling on the curtains which were just nailed into the wall. The room was so tiny with pretty much nothing but a bed. The shower was the smallest I’ve ever seen and the shower door wouldn’t shut properly so the bathroom flooded whenever someone needed to shower. I understand the hotel is very old, but you can keep the character while also making sure it’s clean and tidy. The staff at the check-in desk were not very welcoming or personable. The TV was old and barely had any channels and the room overall was just a small box with a bed. Was really looking forward to experiencing Louisville and this beautiful hotel but was sadly very underwhelmed.

After a long day of travel and work the last thing anyone wants is issues checking in, but that’s what happened. When trying to check they couldn’t find my reservation so upon giving my confirmation number, it pulled up but not with my name. Cayla tried to sort things out but from the start was like “bear with me will sort this out and get you taken care of”. No second questioning my reservation, just solutions. She went to assign my room to find it was already checked in. Again no excuses or question, just solutions. Verified who was in under my reservation and then instead of messing around just fixed the issue and got me to my room. In the end it was handled quickly and efficiently with a smile on her face and a sweet assurance that were just going to fix it. She offered a Guest of the Day coupon for a free appetizer to say sorry which she didn’t have to do. Her professionalism and just solve the issue attitude combined with sense of caring for what I was dealing with made everything feel better. She’s an amazing employee and representative of the hotel and Hilton brand and should be recognized for how she handles tough situations. Thanks you Cayla for making my day better and less stressful. I true appreciate it. She even checked in when she saw me the next day to make sure I was good. You’re a sweet, caring person I can tell.

Fantastic hotel with some interesting history. Everything was great until getting my car from the valet. Typical Hilton, make everything 10 times harder than it has to be. Pissed me off by having me make an account just to get it delivered. Just give me a claim check and when I'm ready to go, I'll call the front desk with the mumber. Easy as pie. This type of crap ia why i am no longer a Hilton Diamond member. Go Holiday Inn!!!!

Shopping in the area was pleasant and the room temperature was comfortable.

Greatstay if you're up for historic hotels. The staff was awesome very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very nice with turn of the century furniture..
