We stayed at the Wedgewood Hotel on our wedding night and couldn’t have chosen a better place. The hotel itself is elegant, warm, and impeccably maintained, and the holiday ambiance made it feel especially festive and romantic. A special mention to Ryan at the front desk, who provided truly impeccable service. He was welcoming, attentive, and helped make the stay feel extra special from the moment we arrived. Everything about our experience felt thoughtful and refined, and it was the perfect setting to end such an important day. We will absolutely be back and highly recommend the Wedgewood to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Vancouver.

My wife and I stayed 3 nights, upgrade to a suite. Everything was wonderful. Service (concierge Malvin & Ryan) waiters (Raymond & Constantine) were immaculate. Highly recommend

This is my second time staying here and I have nothing but great things to say about this hotel. It has become my favorite place in Vancouver. I highly recommend it. The service is fantastic and the hotel itself is quaint and cozy. December is a wonderful time to stay there with all the stunning Christmas decorations. The restaurant is also a great place to eat if you want a nice high end meal. Super clean rooms and the service at the front desk was fantastic as well and great location. Our room was beautiful as well and very clean. What actually surprised me was the noise. Our room was next to the elevator and I cannot believe how quiet it was and this is coming from someone who is noise sensitive. Once again I highly recommend this hotel. Love love love it.

Before you even walk in the door, you are made to feel special and important! Every single person who works the Wedgewood makes you feel like you are the most important person in the world! I will not have everyone's name, so I will mention a few. Jordan met us at our cars (yes, 2 cars and 2 families) and started the special treatment, we were so impressed with him. Melvin checked us in and was so friendly, knowledgeable and professional! Ryan was great also. When you walk through the lobby someone checks in with you to make sure all is okay. And what a beautiful hotel, suites, lobby, lounge and restaurant. The food and drinks in the restaurant and lounge exceeded expectations. Our next visit to Vancouver we have a room at the Fairmont reserved, we are going to cancel if we can get a room at the Wedgewood!

Amazing location and beautiful hotel! We had our office Christmas party in Bacchus and stayed overnight. Suites and rooms are beautiful and well taken care of. Staff are so helpful, professional and friendly. It's clear that excellent service is a top priority at the Wedgewood Hotel.

I booked this hotel expecting the welcoming atmosphere and perfectionist design of a 5-star establishment. While the location is excellent, the actual experience fell significantly short of the price tag (~$500/night). I left feeling less like a valued guest and more like a walking wallet. Here is why this hotel does not deserve 5 stars, from most disappointing to least: Dismissive Service & Lack of Hospitality: After staying for a full week, I requested a mere 15-minute delay on checkout. The front desk agent immediately refused, claiming they were "fully booked" without even looking at a screen. I checked online immediately after, and there was plenty of availability. For a hotel to deny a long-term guest a 15-minute grace period, and lie about availability to do so, is the opposite of welcoming. Reliability Issues: I requested staff to empty the minibar so I could use the fridge for my own water. I was promised they would arrive within 30 minutes. I waited 45 minutes, then an hour. No one showed up, and no one called to communicate a delay. I had to call repeatedly to get this resolved. A 5-star hotel should value a guest’s time; ghosting a guest on a simple request is unacceptable. "Nickel-and-Dime" Atmosphere: The room felt like a convenience store rather than a luxury suite. The fridge was packed so tightly with items for sale that there wasn't a single inch of space for my own water bottle. There were price tags everywhere (e.g., $2.35 for a KitKat). When you are paying half a grand a night, being bombarded with price tags makes you feel like the hotel is watching your every move to charge you extra, rather than trying to make you comfortable. Lack of Attention to Detail: For a hotel claiming "perfection," the room maintenance was sloppy. Mirrors and frames were hung crookedly on the walls, and there were visible scuffs and marks on the paint. These aren't huge deals in a budget motel, but at this price point, the lack of aesthetic care is noticeable. Excessive Incidental Holds: Be prepared for a massive hold on your credit card. They block $150 per night for incidentals. For my one-week stay, they held over $1,000 of my credit limit. While incidental holds are normal, the cumulative amount for a long stay is excessive and aggressive. It sends the message: "We don't trust you," rather than "Welcome." If you need a great location, this works. But if you are looking for the service, warmth, and attention to detail that usually defines a 5-star Canadian hotel, look elsewhere. This is a 3.5-star experience at 5-star prices.

You feel the Relais & Châteaux pedigree the moment the car pulls to the curb, where uniformed bellmen in full period attire are already in place, ready to assist with an ease that feels practiced and sincere, never rehearsed. That standard carries through every interaction. From the front desk to housekeeping, the hospitality is polished, warm, and deeply attentive. Afternoon cookies delivered to the room still warm from the oven might sound like a small gesture, but here, it feels like a thoughtful punctuation mark rather than a gimmick. The room itself was impressively spacious, and not just by my immediate post-cruise standards. The layout allowed room for me to truly settle in, paired with high-quality amenities and a bed that felt heavenly. The bathroom was a standout in its own right: a full-size soaking tub, separate walk-in shower, and enclosed water closet, a space that alone exceeds the footprint of the cruise ship cabin I just disembarked from. While Bacchus Restaurant deserves its own spotlight and separate review, it’s worth noting that having such a refined dining room just steps from the elevator only strengthens the appeal of staying here. Location seals the deal. Situated right in the heart of downtown Vancouver, the Wedgwood makes exploring the city effortless while still offering a refined retreat when you return. The Wedgwood Hotel & Spa balances classic European elegance with genuine, modern hospitality. It’s the kind of property where details matter, comfort is elevated, and service feels both gracious and human, a true downtown haven. I highly recommend this place for your pre and/or post cruise destination.
