We are locals to Cocoa Beach and come to Castways Bar by the beach because of the amazing bartenders, great food and atmosphere. Semih and Marlene on the best!! This is a must if visiting Cocoa Beach.

Ok, so mixed review here. Location is A+, the main bar has great drinks, food, and the staff are TOP NOTCH (shout out to Gina, she’s an absolute treasure). If you want to watch a space launch? Great place. Now. The room. Not sure who made the decision to make the windows not openable. If you want to listen to the ocean while you’re sleeping, this isn’t your place. Very disappointed in that. The bed? Huge sag in the middle, woke up with my hips screaming from it. Water is HOT. Like steam coming up. If that’s your jam, then you’ll be happy with it. Towels felt like sandpaper? It was weird because hotel towels are usually delightful. The room was VERY clean, though. Huge plus there. There was a recessed light above the TV that we couldn’t find the switch for. FYI it’s a very small circular switch below the TV. Anyway, just be aware of the issues if you come. Big positives were the bar and proximity to the beach.

The room itself was only an average at most but the proximity to that beautiful beach boosts the rating. I do not recommend the drinks on the patio though. The strawberry daiquiri was undrinkable and expensive, and the bartender put the change of $5 under the receipt, which many people don’t take so could be overlooked.
