Hitchin Priory Hotel

Breakfast was good, served early which suited our needs. The staff were pleasant and helpful but seemed to be jack of all trades.

Our bedroom was almost up in the attic. It was small, the bathroom was worn with marks in the bath and the curtain was old and stained, and there was no plug in the sink (the integral one had broken). The end of one of the beds was broken. The windows were dirty and didn't close properly

The building is a little tired! Its such a shame as its a beautiful building in an amazing location. Taped down carpet and tempid warm water for the shower

Location was beautiful & central to town with access to shops & restaurants. Bar area was nice to relax in during the evening. Original features of the building were also beautiful.

Room was very dated. Bathroom had broken toilet roll holder. Broken plug, and was not very clean. No additional pillows. No blackout curtains. Very restrictive restaurant menu. There was also quite a wait to check in.

Location great, breakfasts wowful! The hotel is very tired and could do with a complete renovation.

Breakfast choices very poor if you do not eat hot food at breakfast!

I do much prefer a cooking to order rather than buffet.

No hot water in the main house.

A very good full English. No complaints. Breakfast room itself very comfortable, in a very interesting historic property. Easy car parking. Great location

Nothing I’m afraid

It’s basically a DSS hostel type thing. Very very uncomfortable bed, horrible temperature, no fridge, no anything not even water. This is a terrible guesthouse in a beautiful building. Such a shame it’s been left like this. We left at 5am
