I felt it needed some TLC, gardens were overgrown, rooms need a make over especially the bathrooms!!

No aircon, it was a wedding we was attending two people were overcome with the heat. The staff need to learn to smile once in a while. The room are very dated . Bathroom had mold on the ceiling. Very over priced for what you get. Uncomfortable bed and pillows. I would recommend staying at the premier inn down the road.

The location. The building is rather impressive from the distance.

Sadly this building needs a lot of basic maintenance, the windows are rotten. The car park is very neglected. There should be a health and safety warning about bedrooms 16/17 as the stairs up to them are very tight. The exceptionally low ceilings are not good for anyone over 5 ft 9 inches. There is a mouldy smell throughout the building!

The hotel room was very comfortable and quiet. The staff were very polite and helpful. Generous cooked breakfast. Amazing historic building.

Room could do with being updated. Especially the bathroom. Would have preferred fresh coffee at breakfast rather than the machine.

Location and staff were great .

The room was far to bright , At 4am I thought it was early morning due to the outside lights from the hotel shining in to the room. The alarm bell also went off at 3am which was not great but I would imagine out of the control of the hotel. The breakfast was really poor whilst the staff member was lovely the eggs where to creamy and the bacon was sizzled into a crisp. I didn't bother going for the second morning and ate out,.
