Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort and Spa

Very friendly experience. Great service. Miguel went out of his way to assist my grandparents. He took care of all of our bags and brought my grandpa a wheelchair right away.

Service is excellent. All staff was very helpful, kind and courteous. Top marks include: Cheryl- the wonderful bartender, Nicole- from Pittsburgh, and McDonald- from the Philippines, Eddie and Dino - Bellmen. Location excellent. Hotel is beach front with very short walk to water from resort. Rooms are clean and inviting with excellent views of the beach and water on the pool side rooms. On the garden side rooms if you are on the 5th, 6th, or a higher floor; you can still have a nice view of beach and ocean. This is by no means a budget friendly resort. However, compared to the other beachfront hotel property ( the JW Marriott) it is half the price for excellent service, closer walk to the beach, and quite possibly a more quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Downsides: one restaurant. Closes at 10p and fullbar bites menu unavailable past 5 or 6. There are 3 of the best restaurants on the island right across the street.

Our first night we stayed at the hotel and had dinner. Luca our server was outstanding and made our night a beautiful memory. Eddie, the concierge was great too.

Overall, I had a very good stay at this Hilton property and most of the staff were excellent, friendly, and professional. Unfortunately, my interactions with Melanie at the front desk, who appeared to be a supervisor or manager, left a very negative impression. I had an urgent legal call one morning and noticed empty conference rooms that an attendant confirmed were not being used. Out of courtesy, I asked Melanie if I could briefly use one for 45 minutes for privacy. She immediately said no, offered no alternatives, and showed zero interest in helping. The rooms remained empty the entire time. I also asked about late checkout after being told the night before that I was placed on a waiting list. The next morning, Melanie told me I would had to pay $50 an hour for any hour past 11am if I don't check out on time, and then unnecessarily lectured me that the night staff is “not authorized” to approve late checkouts, even though I never claimed they had. Again, every other employee I encountered was wonderful. Melanie, however, came across as dismissive, unhelpful, and completely lacking the hospitality mindset you expect from a hotel manager.
