air conditioning wasn’t working in older section of hotel - uncomfortable

Well i really fed up right now . I booked 2 rooms for may 15. Took out it the insurance incase something came up. And it did. Called April 9th to change one if the rooms . Were supposed to be sending me a so called Voucher to rebook but as of today April 27 .still no Voucher number and they keep saying my email is wrong in there computer. They say they corrected it. Iv called 5 times still no Voucher .. Im driving over 800 miles and im really upset this has mot been corrected in a timely manner. Today April 27 I was told they are sending my problem to the exulation team should hear something with in 2 hours. So wish me luck. I wont get insurance again or book through this sight again. I thought I was booking with the actual Hotel not another party. This is a nightmare. So be aware. Still waiting!!!!😡 I booked on march 31th to have plenty of time.

I have to give a shout out to Jen, the front desk manager, who was on duty the afternoon of Thursday, April 23rd. She went above and beyond! I had reserved a handicapped accessible room and upon arrival found out that my room was already taken and there were non available. After explaining my situation, Jen found a way to accommodate me, going above and beyond what any manager would do. She made my experience absolutely wonderful! The room was large, the bed fairly comfortable, the lobby beautiful and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. With Jamison's restaurant inside the hotel, even better. The location is literally right next to the North Shore Center for Performing Arts and the Old Orchard Shopping Center is right across the street. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay in the northern suburbs of Chicago. Not far from many interesting places to visit, and lots of great restaurants near by.

Returned to my room April 24 around 9:30pm to find a note on the floor from housekeeping: “Dear Valued Guest, We would like to inform you that your room will not be serviced for cleaning today. However, should you require fresh linens or any other in-room amenities, please do not hesitate to contact the frontdesk, and we will be happy to assist you. Thank you for your understanding. Best regards, Housekeeping Team” There had been no prior notice and when I asked the front desk they had no idea why this had happened nor that it had happened. I was offered nothing but “sorry.” Not even, “what can we do to make this up to you?”

I had a wonderful experience at DoubleTree by Hilton, thanks to Enas. She was extremely professional, welcoming, and attentive to every detail, making the stay smooth and comfortable. Her positive attitude and willingness to help truly stood out. Exceptional service that made a real difference!
