The air did not work in the room. We turn the temp all the way down with no results. It was very hot in the room. At times the toilet did not work. It had to be flushed several times just to get it to work.

"Read Before You Book"

2.0

Stayed at Hilton Double Tree for concert. Worst experience ever. Dont generally complain but Hilton Corp knew these issues and never corrected them and let guests stay there regardless and continue too. We discover: The parking ramp door to the lobby was broken so you could not access it. You had to walk with your luggage down the ramp into the main floor of the lobby. The a/c didnt work (the room was at 89 degrees when we arrived) It basically stayed that was the entire 2 days. The mirror was shattered int he bathroom, and the sink had mold all around the rim. After our two days I decided that the experience was something Hilton definitely was aware of and should have corrected. The money we paid for the hotel rooms was not worth being treated that way. I also then read several Expedia reviews , as well as Google and Hilton reviews, that customers also expressed the same issues that I did. These issues had been going on for several month without Hilton taking care of them. How many other customers have had these same issues?? I sent an email to the Hilton customer service rep and received a nice response and a phone call that they would review and look into it. Then I received an email that they had credited me 30,000 Hilton points. I dont even have a Hilton account??? And what about the issues?????? I replied back and received an email that I was being refunded $150. Great but what about the issues?? Cynthia McClary, Executive Ambassador of Hilton has no clue. It isnt about the money. ITS ABOUT SERVICE AND GETTING IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. She never checked into the issues and I still see reviews with customers complaining about the exact same issues I experienced several months ago. I quote from new review just posted : " A/C not working at all - Oct 2025" / "The room was so hot we were unsure it was safe for our 8 month old" 2 weeks ago / "Room felt like a sauna" - 2 weeks ago / "The door had a sign that said sorry for the inconvenience but please walk around the corner to the door. I need to walk up the parking ramp to the door? The air conditioning did not work" We had to open windows" - 3 weeks ago. So I address the issues again Cynthia and ask to speak to someone else. She sends 2 exactly the same oblivious emails: "I appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns. Our office serves as the final level of appeal under the delegated authority of the CEO, and I want you to know that your concerns have been reviewed with great care and attention. At this point, there are no further steps available for escalation. Additional emails regarding this matter will be sent to me for a response. While we consider this matter closed and no further review warranted" Best Regards Cynthia Again, ITS ABOUT SERVICE AND GETTING IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. She never checked into the issues or they wont still be happening. All she wants to do is give a small token and be done with the customer. Im not going to be that person that just walks away from this just because she gave me a check for $150. She hasnt even corrected the issues for all the other customer that have stayed there or are going to stay there in the future. DO YOUR JOB CORRECTLY and take care of the issues!!!!!! If you have stayed at this Hilton Doubletree, or any other Hiltons and have had these similar issues I urge you to call or email Cynthia McClary @ 469754-26127 or email cynthia.mcclary.corp.escalations@hilton.com Get the Issues fixed Hilton!!!!!!!!! Please if anyone else has experienced these issues p[lease call or email Cynthia. Also if anyone can post this on another platform please help me do so, I want to reach as many people as I can so Hilton reps will see this and finally do something other than ignore me. Thank you! "Not Your Typical Hilton Hotel"

8.0

Although this Doubletree is in downtown Minneapolis, I found it difficult to find the entrance to the hotel. The main entrance is a door on LaSalle Avenue, but to check in, one must enter the parking garage, which is camouflaged from the street. One must take a ticket to gain entrance to the garage, and parking is somewhat limited. Upon entering the hotel, I found my way to check in. I was not recognized as a Hilton Honors member, but was offered a cookie and a bottle of water. Although I had requested a room on a high floor away from the elevator (realizing that such a request may not be honored), my room was on the second floor adjacent to the elevator. The room, however, was spacious, with a living room (sofa, desk, large screen TV, and a dresser), and a large bedroom with a king-sized bed, large screen TV, a closet with a safe, and another dresser. Even though the room faced the street, the noise wasn't too bad. The bathroom was large and the shower was adequate. I paid extra to park in the garage, but the entrance to the hotel from the garage was not working. Eventually, the door was propped open. As a Hilton Honors member, I thought I would get a free breakfast, but the person running the restaurant told me he didn't know anything about that, and I would have to talk with management--disappointing. All in all, the stay was OK, but the little inconveniences could have and should have been avoided.

"NO AIR CONDITIONING"

4.0

When you walk into the hotel, it is extremely hot and the front desk clerks are running fans pointed at them. It stayed that way ALL WEEKEND LONG but your only respite is a box fan and a two windows that open about three inches. The nice front desk staff explained that they were “transitioning” to cold weather and there was noA/C but they would have box fans delivered to your room. That did happen but if you are a person who needs to sleep in a cool room, a woman with hot flashes or just want to sit comfortably in your room, the box fan is not enough. And because it was an NFL game weekend, you are charged premium rates for your room, sans air conditioning. When I checked out, I asked for the manager to contact me and gave the front desk my number to discuss the bill given the circumstances. Then we received a text asking about our stay and once again asked for the manager to call us. No call. No text. There are other hotels in the same price range with similar amenities. You should choose them. Note the photos with our “portable” fan units and one room that had some sort A/C unit parked in the sitting area, unattached.

"Read recent reviews, not even a 3 star property."

2.0

A/C not working at all, room was extremely stuffy. Toilet paper holder missing. At check in requested two beds, went to room, only one bed. Lampshades cracked, toilet bowl stained. Difficult to get front desk to answer phone otherwise would’ve brought to their attention & requested a move. A sign telling you to check in BEFORE entering the parking garage would be extremely helpful since doors from parking garage are all locked and no way to buzz us in.

"It was a perfect stay. Enjoyed everything right down to the great tasting coffee in the rooms."

The staff was helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable. It is walking distance to the stadium and other attractions.

Parking is tight between the huge poles. However, at least there is parking with the hotel.

"Just not up to par for a Hilton property"

6.0

I don't normally write reviews, but I felt I needed to on this one. The hotel had several things that I was not happy with, considering the price I paid for this trip. When we arrived after driving 9 hours, we pulled into to parking garage and parked close to the door so we were close to the elevator to unload our bags. The door had a sign that said Sorry for the inconvenience, but please walk around the corner to the other door. We did that, we pushed the button to be buzzed in, no one ever answered, so I called the hotel from my phone, only to be told we would need to come to the front desk to check in. I said that is what I am trying to do. How do I get to the lobby if you won't let us in? She informed me that for their safety, I would need to walk up the parking garage ramp to check in. What about the safety of the guest? We were not the only ones who were told to do that. The girl at the front desk was not very friendly. I told her I was there for a convention and asked if she could tell me how to get to the convention center. She informed me she had no idea where that was. I would think that if you work the front desk of a hotel three blocks from the Minneapolis Convention Center, you should know how to tell your guests how to get there, and since the convention is a big one, you should be aware that the convention is going on in your town. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean for the most part, other than the mold on the wall between the tub and toilet and the silicone seal on the sink. The air conditioner did not work; it was on 60, and still it was hot in there, so we had to open the windows, and the housekeeper brought us a box fan. While talking to people at the convention that was staying at the same hotel, they all had to open the windows and get fans from downstairs. The TV in the living room area kept going in and out. I was informed via the website I booked with for the convention that I owed $823.00, along with incidental and parking fees. When I checked in, they held $1,230 and some change. I asked why because that was not what I was told per the convention host page. The young man I asked said it was because the incidental fee is $100 a night, and the parking is going to come off that at $30 a night. That is crazy to me that it is that high for incidentals and parking. Why do you charge a parking fee to your guests at all, but per day? We got to the room and had not eaten, so we went to the bar area, and she was not friendly at all. We ordered, and after we ate, and upon asking for the bill were told when we were going to pay with cash, they do not take cash. My mom said well, why wouldn't you tell a customer that before they eat she said I wouldn't want to tell someone that before they eat. My question was, why not? What if we weren't staying in the hotel and just came in to eat or have a drink, and I only had cash? We were also disappointed because, per the amenities, it says there is a pool on site, and there is not. I will pick a different hotel if ever in the area.
