"Remnants of a beautiful town."

We stayed at the Copthorne in Rotorua Feb 26. It was a good location on the outskirts. Nice walk to town. The hotel in/outside is very tired and very much in need of maintenance and a fresh coat of paint etc. Having said that while walking around, there are a lot of hotels etc on what I would call the golden mile entering Rotorua that need some work or even demolition. Very sad to see.

"Nice hotel — Great Sleep"

Yes the place is on the older side…..reminds me of the Red Lion Brand in the states. Check-in was great. Very friendly and helpful counter staff. Found the room spacious. Don’t know what the small room comments are about. I’ve been in smaller. Bathroom works great. Some decent tv channels to wind down the night. Did have dinner in their restaurant the first night. We were the only ones there, but service was great. Breakfast buffet had everything anyone would want. Loved the bacon and hash browns. Plenty of juices. Hotel services a lot of tour groups. We found the place very quiet. The wife wants to take the bed home as it was so comfortable.
