La Posada De Santa Fe, a Tribute Portfolio Resort & Spa

We arrived to the front desk and were told that as a titanium elite bonvoy member we were being upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite (from the 1 bedroom we had reserved) We were very happy until we reached the room. As soon as we opened the door to the room we were overwhelmed with the stench of marijuana. It was like several people were smoking in the room at once, the smell was unbearable. As far as I could tell, the living room windows were left open by housekeeping and guests were smoking marijuana on the patio below this room, which caused all of the smoke to enter the room through the open window. We asked to be given another room. They did not have any 2 bedrooms available so we were given the 1 bedroom we had initially reserved. At first we were pleased with the new room but after a few minutes we realized that only the living room had heating, the bedroom did not have heat nor a door. We were with out kids so we had zero privacy. We asked the front desk to bring us a portable heater. We cranked up the heat to 70 degrees in the living room but the room was still at 61 degrees at night even with portable heater on high. The bathroom door frame was split open and not painted. My son cut his arm in the middle of the night when he rubbed up against jagged door frame by accident. The tub had several spots of rust (see attached pictures) This hotel needs a major overhaul. All of the staff we came into contact with were very friendly. The restaurant and bar were great. I enjoyed sitting by the fire place in the lobby.

We were extremely disappointed with our stay last week. The staff and restaurant were excellent, which is the only reason I’m giving two stars. Unfortunately, the room itself was very poor. It was tiny, had broken cabinet doors, cracks in the ceiling, a broken luggage stand, only two small sock drawers for clothing, and ants in the bathroom. We stayed over the Christmas holiday, and despite pleasant weather (55–58 degrees), all outdoor chairs and tables were folded up, the outdoor fireplaces were not lit, and the fountains were filthy. There was no sense of a “resort” atmosphere at all. Given the $40 per day resort fee, this was especially frustrating, as none of the expected amenities or ambiance were present. Santa Fe has many great places to stay, and La Posada needs to make a stronger effort. We will return to Santa Fe, but we will not be staying here again.

Lo stile , la vicinanza al centro.personale gentile. colazione ottima.

Camera piccola , letto con materasso scomodo, frigo rumoroso e porta comunicante con altri ospiti che sentivamo parlare distintamente. Poca privacy. Nella prenotazione c era scritto vista montagne e patio , ma la stanza forse era un ‘altra.

we knew The location was close to everything and walkable when we booked but the first day we were there it was raining so we were just checking how far etc and they said they have a shuttle to go anywher e whithin 2 miles and not only that they would pick us up too. OMG that was so convenient. we had car but to go for dinner and plazza where there is no parking this was so much more better. 10 *** for that .

Great location and charming historic property

A group of friends visited this historic hotel for an art tour with Sarah. While I don't recommend Sarah, the hotel itself is a historical building with great architecture and art on the walls. It also has a lovely outdoor courtyard and separate bar. The group spent time at the bar and ordered drinks. The wine selection was excellent and service was outstanding.

The rooms are very expensive and old and small
