Malmaison Edinburgh

All in all, the hotel isn't bad at all. The receptionist greeting us upon arrival was really pleasant, efficient and made a good first impression. The room, however, was a little odd, with the lighting being quite bad, the shower a little temperamental and some of the furniture feeling a little tired, but in fairness, the bed was really comfortable. Onsite parking was also a nice bonus. We only had breakfast once, and that was enough for us. The order came back wrong and wasn't particularly great. The bar staff on the opposite side of the hotel were really professional and friendly, though service could be a little slow. If I was coming here again for a short stay Id definately consider coming back, anything longer I might look elsewhere.

Brilliant hotel and staff. Stayed in the suite with roll top bath. Quirky and individual decor. All staff were very friendly, especially Famad, who was particularly welcoming and patient whilst we used our vouchers! Afternoon tea was amazing - would highly recommend including this. Location is greag - only 10-15 mins walk from the station, and around 20 minute walk to the Royal Mile. Overall, a great stay- thanks Malmaison Edinburgh!

This is a smaller hotel that is convenient for parking and getting to the airport. The hotel restaurant looked nice, but since they didn't take cash - and I had a pocketful on my last night in the UK - we went elsewhere to dine.

This is a nice hotel, located in quiet lovely Leith, is convenient to the tram line running to downtown Edinburgh.

Fantastic from start to finish

Beautiful rooms in a stunning hotel in an amazingly quiet location. Staff could not be more professional and friendly. Mariano, head waiter, was incredible and we would return just to know we’d have amazing service and he is a true ambassador of this hotel chain! Just a wee note that there can be some noise from a beer factory on one side of the hotel so I’d suggest asking for either water facing room or just not facing beer factory but it’s a small point and genuinely Edinburgh can be so noisy and a tiny point to raise. Reception staff were just 5 star and faultless and I would highly recommend this fabulous hotel to anyone. With parking included, quiet peaceful location yet 20 mins from city centre by tram - it is an oasis of peace in the hub of a capital!

A pleasant overnight stay. My room was comfortable and the bed was very good. Food was first class at dinner and breakfast. The reception area is rather gloomy and could do with better lighting.

Kind, welcoming staff, excellent breakfast, clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

It was super hot very little air flow! Which made it uncomfortable at night!

Hotel in lovely position , room spacious , bed clean and comfortable . Unfortunately we had a blocked sink and black flakes were coming from the tap and floating about . We spoke to reception prior to heading out for a meal and were told the manager would look into this . When we came back late unfortunately the problem was the same and no explanation was given . It was worse in the morning . Fully understand that problems arise but expected it to have been resolved and if unable to an apology given . In hind sight we should have asked for a swap of room but as it was late we didn’t .
