Malmaison Edinburgh

My wife and I stayed at Malmaison from 13/09/2025 through 18/09/2025 as part of our London, Edinburgh and Dublin holiday. We were highly impressed with the facilities, restaurant and overall service. Of particular note were Mariano and Lucy in the Chez Mal restaurant. They went above and beyond to ensure a superior experience for my wife and I.

Had a lovely dinner in their restaurant, which was delicious! The service was warm and professional; especially noting Charlotte for her friendliness and welcoming demeanor- so much appreciated for a solo diner. Thank you.

Lovely hotel. From the excellent friendly receptionist onwards, everything was excellent

The room was clean, spacious and comfortable

Lovely hotel situated quite near to the Royal Yacht Brttania which we went to see. Roome very comfortable and breakfast excellent. Where Yorkshirebhoy gets his info from is not worth the paper it's written on

The rate was £215 per night for a standard room that was worth £120 at best. The toilet is not fixed to the floor, so it moves. A loose seat I can cope with but not the whole toilet. 1 comfortable chair and 1 desk chair. It wouldn't take much to put 2 comfortable chairs in. The coffee was coffee bags, so we went to a local cafe as the breakfast price was laughable.

We had a fantastic experience. Warm and friendly staff throughout. We got a great welcome. All the staff were fabulous, but the ones whose names we got were Billie, Ooonagh, Aonghis, Deep, Dalton. Five of us stayed for 3 nights. Beautiful, clean, comfortable rooms. Gorgeous breakfasts and dinner. Area is super. Loads of restaurants, by the water. Tram around the corner goes right to the airport. Royal Yacht Brittania in walking distance. We wouldn't stay anywhere else in Edinburgh now. We honestly felt completely at home.

Nice area next to the water and lots of eateries around. The hotel itself is typical Malmaison with quirky elements. The front house reception staff were lovely.

Staff were exceptionally good, food was amazing, signature sweet was wonderful

Check in was great, room 203 was looking onto a building and the room and bathroom was very tired but clean. Staff were excellent and friendly, breakfast was great and lots of choice.
