Sandcastle Hotel on the Beach

Close to the beach.

Room was ok, bed wasn't too comfortable and just expected a little more for the price.

Be was uncomfortable and room was small.

Great accommodation (we had a sea view). It was quiet (mid of May) and really nicely decorated. We enjoyed our stay at Pismo Beach

Beautiful and perfect location for a family vacation to the beach. This hotel provides free amenities (like beach chairs and towels), which helps if you forget to pack a few items. The parking is a bit pricey (for $30/night), however this is fairly normal for the area and with the hotel being walking distance to everything that Pismo has to offer, we didn't have to leave the lot much. Parking is very convenient to the room locations as it is a small lot that is more central to the hotel. Access to the beach is very easy (especially those with small children). Our room was clean and smelled nice when we came in. I think the only real thing I could be picky on was that the fan in the bathroom was loud an clanky and I wish there were more towel racks outside of the tub for hanging towels we might want to reuse. There is just the rack inside the shower and the shelf under the sink to hold towels. Installing a hook or two in the bathroom can make a huge difference. But the bathroom was a nice size and lots of counter space. The beds and pillows were comfy and our room was spacious. It was quiet. We heard the most just doors closing, but it was very quiet at night, so no complaints there. The service was nice. I connected with the employee who was working at the cafe (The Deck) who was sweet. Being a former Starbucks employee, we were talking coffee, which was fun. The few staff members we saw (front desk and cleaning staff) were nice and smiled and made eye contact. That makes all the difference in the world. Overall, I think if the price is right, we will come back. Since it is easy for use to travel during the week, we took advantage of the 3-day special. Costs of hotels are high these days, so being able to be so close to the coast for a good price, was totally worth it!
