Sandcastle Hotel on the Beach

Close location to all the eateries. The pier was a very nice addition, too.

Couldn't control the air conditioner like I wanted. Hot some nights and cold the others. Finally found my happy medium at the end of my stay. Vacation ended too soon!!

Just a few steps from the boardwalk & pier [technically about one hotel over, which I prefer as it's less crowded & noisy than if we were right at the pier]. Great views from the balcony/patio on the 2nd floor center of the hotel. Accommodations were simple, tasteful, modern beachy aesthetic. Found a used towel with many long hairs behind the bathroom door on the side of the bathtub [likely accidentally left after cleaning crew was there]. After I showed the front desk the photo, they remedied it promptly and brought many extra clean towels. The front desk/reception area is off the parking lot, making it feel like the back of the hotel [I guess because the front faced the ocean and had the lounge/Cafe area]. The desk was small and most of the time, you had to wait a few seconds before someone would come out from a back room. Honestly, this experience reminded me a bit of going into a gas station service station [so not the best]. The "attendants" were basically courteous and mostly helpful, if not overtly friendly or welcoming. The Cafe experience was minimal - a counter to order some menu items [breakfasty type sandwiches and pastries I think?] and drinks. It was a little like you'd find a Starbucks inside of a Safeway. (I'm from WA the past 20+ years so expected a better assortment of hot drinks and was disappointed they didnt have a London Fog or even Earl Grey tea]. The hotel next door had a great restaurant on the 3rd floor with great ocean views and service, for finer dining options.

The bed was comfortable and the location was good. Close to the beach.

Screen door wouldn't slide. Room was not attractive. Walls very thin could hear eople in the next room. Had to call front office to request housekeeping to come to our room.

The hotel has the best location along the beach and the rooms are great! Very nice bistro with 2 large television screens to enjoy sporting events. Bikes are provided for no additional charge. Val at the front desk is amazing! She makes you feel very welcome and she is so kind, helpful and professional, exuding such positive energy!

Very good location,, short walk to pier and restaurants,, great beach,property is not sprawling, , quiet for a beachfront hotel.

All good.

The staff was incredible and so friendly.

Friday night and Saturday night were pricey. Sunday night was very reasonable. The staff made staying another night doable and we enjoyed our time there.
