"Up on arrival we were told the room was not ready yet, that we would receive a text when ready. One hour later we return"

Front desk people not very nice. Drinks from the cafe/bar was just juice and ice.

"This was an affordable holiday weekend stay for a great location."

property was clean and well maintained. Great location and value compared to other beachfront properties. beds were also very comfortable.

lack of onsite amenities, no pool, spa, gym, etc. cafe area was out of stock for several items in the morning. patio area closed early in my opinion.

"Bad experience"

Extremely bad customer service from an individual named Ricki working the food and beverage purchase location in the evening. Ricki is antagonistic, rude and disrespectful. When I asked for a supervisor, he provided a card with a bar code link for Trip Advisor, Google and Yelp. I emailed the hotel instead to let them know about his attitude. They did not respond to me so I assume they would rather have a post online.

"Family friendly for kids and furry kids"

Sandcastle has been at the center of Pismo Pier for some time. The staff take great strides to accommodate our requests. The room was cleaned daily, which seems to be a extra perk theses days at other hotels. There are so many things to do in walking distance from the hotel. No headaches with traffic once you arrive, dining , shopping, amd beach fun is right there near the Sandcastle. Fun for the entire family !
