The Manila Hotel

We are booked for the Sunrise Suite (922). Long Queue for check-in and check out. Feels like being in line for an ayuda. Could have save time if technology is invested for this as with other hotels. The smell of the room is quite old but the room is spacious. Customer Service is excellent though and everyone is helpful. Breakfast is good with good variety and choices but Buffet for dinner is quite expensive at 6000 pesos each. That's too much for that level of food and I think Spiral of Sofitel is even better in food and ambiance.

I love this old hotel. I really do. I stay here often. But this will not happen again. I'm genuinely angry at the way I have just been treated in the bar on the left side of the GF lobby. Indifference, no accountability, un-cleared tables. 5 staff doing the square root of zero. Who is responsible for the bar? This is one of the many "faces" of the hotel. Frankly, it was embarrassing this evening.

Lobby restaurant at Manila Hotel is the worst place to be. It took 1 hour before our food was served and it wasn’t served all together but one by one. After an hour of waiting I was told that the Belgian Hot Chicolate I ordered was not available only the native one. More so I was told in the end that the bibingka I ordered was never placed. The food wasn’t good. Pancit Malabon tasted like cracked pepper. To be fair the server who took our order was very apologetic. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Got the perfect view and the restaurant is superb especially the staff are very accommodating and friendly.

Stunning hotel. Room was large, bed very comfortable, bathroom large and had all the 5* necessaries. We dined at Champagne as it was a special occassion - it was fabulous, staff were professional and very attentive.

Didnt enjoy breakfast as it was too busy for my liking, not sure they were in hotel guests or people dining in. But not for me. For in hotel be nice to have a quieter breakfast area, or lounge.

Ambiance is exceptional.
