Mercure Hotel Trier Porta Nigra

Overall, this was a good hotel. It was clean, well-presented, and comfortable throughout our stay. The underground car park was a great addition and gave us peace of mind knowing our car was safe and secure. The location was also very convenient, with Trier city centre within easy walking distance.

Unfortunately, our experience was let down by the fact that the restaurant and bar were closed during our stay. These facilities were advertised as available, and we specifically chose this hotel after a long day of travelling so that we could relax and unwind without having to go elsewhere. While the staff did provide information about alternative options nearby, it wasn’t the experience we had booked and expected. We also raised this issue via Booking.com messaging but did not receive a response, which was disappointing. Had we been informed in advance about the closure, we could have adjusted our plans accordingly.

Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig, mit Wohnzimmer und zwei Bäder und der Aussicht perfekt. Die Klimaanlage und die angebotene Getränke waren eine Rettung in der Hitze. Tolle zentrale Lage.

Schade, dass das Bistro im Erdgeschoss nicht funktionierte. Einmal wollten wir das Abendessen im Restaurant probieren. Wir wurden etwas unfreundlich weggeschickt, da es kein À-la-carte-Angebot gab, nur Büfett für 40 € pro Kopf.

De ligging van het hotel is prima. Je hoeft maar de weg over te steken en je zit in het centrum. De ruime hotelkamer met koelkastje en airco maakt het verblijf erg aangenaam. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk.

Er is een beperkt aanbod van drankjes en snacks. Ik mis gezelligheid in het hotel.
