TRIP INN Hotel Uebachs

Although my stay was short at this hotel, I highly recommend it! I arrived at Gunnewig Hotel Uebachs late in the evening and left early the following morning, but it did not take me long to figure out that it was a great hotel. Not only is the establishment in a quiet and safe area close to the Dusseldorf Hauptbahnhof, but also the rooms are modern and spacious. The thing that I most appreciated about the place was the service. Despite my late arrival, the concierge was quite attentive. He made sure we woke up at 5:00 a.m. the next day to catch our flight, had coffee prepared for my wife and me as we were checking out, and even packed snacks for my family to take with us to the airport. The convenient location, the comfortable rooms, and the service-oriented staff makes this place an exceptional hotel. This is the place to stay if you find yourself in Dusseldorf.

The room was small even though I booked a double room. It looks like from the 70s. I lived on the 5th floor and the elevator ended on the 4th floor. The bathroom has old tiles, etc. The room was smelly and the carpet was worn. It is a 2 star hotel. The general spaces like reception and restaurant look better.

Hotel was quite good. Parking facilities terrible, as usual with city centres , €15. Downstairs in the garage €12 upstairs in parkplatz We were booked the first day in the garage & 2nd in the parkplatz , Drove around the one way system to get to the parkplatz & it was full, so the receptionist reluctantly told us to park in the multi story around the corner opposite the hotel for €5 per day., why don't the staff tell people & be more helpful, you will be surprised how much more return customers you would get , definitely not us We had just come from Hanover & Berlin. (FREE WIFI ) BUT NOT THIS HOTEL feel like you are being ripped off at every opportunity . We shall not return !

Well maintained hotel situated a little away from the centre of town. Not all staff would be considered helpful. Breakfast was good with a fair choice to choose from. All restaurants in the immediate area are Japanese only as hotel is close to Japanese quarter of the city. Beware of extra daily wifi charges not included in price. Water on table in each bedroom to greet you is not complimentary and very misleading!

Nice hotel in a convenient area. Situated within walking distance of city center and old town. Great breakfast, accomodating staff. Rooms are typical European style but nicely appointed.

Hotel is a little run down, but the excellent breakfast and service more than made up for it. I stayed at the ritzy Steigenbergen Hotel the last time I was in Dusseldorf, but prefer this Gunnewig Uebachs.

Overal Hotel not bad. As we were two Single male travelers visiting the Dusseldorf Boat Show we were given the Single bedrooms at the back of the Hotel on the ground floor outside the rear of the hotel. The rooms were fine for a night but would expect something a bit larger. No Bar at the Hotel which was dissapointing but bar service was via the Reception staff. The Breakfast was excellent and vast and more of a feast with hot a cold items available. The breakfast room was comfortable and overall would give a good 5 out of 5 rating for this. Wifi is extra cost billed to your room. Maybe the double rooms are better.

Booked family room for 3 of us (2 adults plus 9 year old) & were so pleased with size of room & comfort of beds. Good range of tv channels even for non German speakers. Convenient distance from station - not too far for 9 year old to walk & it felt safe. Quiet enough & we slept well even though our room was next to the lift. Good spread at breakfast including japanese! Only criticism was not enough tables at breakfast so were asked to share with random Russian - he finished his breakfast quite quickly! But this was small downside to excellent stay. All in all lovely friendly non-chain hotel & would highly recommend.
