TRIP INN Hotel Uebachs

The room we had was adequate and clean. Pretty roomy as far as European rooms go. It is close to the main train station and a large park but the immediate area isn't that interesting or nice. It is not a very fancy hotel and I wouldn't write home about decor but it was fine for our short stay in Düsseldorf and met basic needs. Staff were friendly, especially the cleaning lady.

Having worked and lived in D'dorf before, this hotel is my little secret that I like to return to when I can't stay with friends - sure, there are more modern and "design-oriented" places in town (decor is late 80s ;)), but for the price, location, friendly service (and super efficient and polite check in and check out, rare in Germany - says a German) and the EPIC breakfast (German, British, Mediterranean, Japanese... everything, really), this is the best bet. Walking distance to central station and old town, too. The only issue is that wifi reception varies dramatically between the rooms.

I had a lovely stay and a nice time in Dusseldorf. The hotel was very nice and staff were friendly.

Overall, I was very happy with my stay at the hotel. First of all, the hotel is in a very central location, only a stone's throw away from the central station and the Altstadt and just a few minute walk to a U-Bahn station. There are several restaurants in the area if you fancy trying different cuisines. The room I stayed in was a single, though a bit smaller than I had expected from a 4* hotel. It had all amenities I needed, including cable TV and a mini fridge. The staff were very nice and helpful (I had forgotten my phone charger but they were happy to lend me one). I enjoyed the breakfast too, which had a variety of fresh foods. I would easily recommend Uebachs hotel if you are visiting Düsseldorf, I had a pleasant time there (though if you want to sleep past 8 am, the bells of a nearby church ringing at 8 every morning will be a bit annoying).
