Trailborn Highlands, Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy

The only thing we really liked was the location.

The room had a musty smell, the shower handle was partially broken, the room had a few bugs such as ants, and finally everything about the hotel was about purchasing something else. There was a food basket in the room and drinks in the fridge, bath robes that all cost something. We didn’t find the bed all that comfortable. Frankly at almost $300 a night a complimentary water bottle would have been nice. They did give us wildflower seeds as a gift.

I stay in hotels all over and this is now one of my favorites AC was super cold Bed and pillows were comfortable Super clean

Wonderful staff, large rooms, free parking, close to TONS of shopping, dining, hiking, waterfalls!!! Not a full-service hotel but they do have complimentary coffee/tea each morning & a pretty well-stocked bar behind the front desk if you want to purchase alcoholic beverages. Also a little market off the lobby to purchase small pre-made snacks, drinks, branded clothing items. Oh, and pet-friendly!!! We'll be back.

It was a pleasant stay, and the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was also a plus, as it was almost walkable to town, with only a small strip of grass separating the property from the main walking route. However, the room was uncomfortably warm, and the bathroom had not been properly cleaned. There was leftover trash from previous guests, and the toilet had clearly not been cleaned before our arrival. For the price, I expected a higher level of cleanliness and overall attention to detail.

Very nice and cozy facility. How nice? Staff made the stay fee just like being home, except we didn't have to do any of the work and the people were nice(r). Super big should out to front desk team and housekeeping. Definitely would stay again.

This is a 5 star clean and quiet property! The beds were super comfy! The location was beautiful and close to a few restaurants.If you need to walk.

There is no breakfast here. If they served coffee, juice and muffins, that would be nice! Also there's no pool.

I have been traveling with Marriott brands for over 50 years. Sad to say this hotel does not live up to Marriott standards. Wanted to check in two hours early, but was advised there would be a $35 early check in fee . . . Really! There was also a $200 incidental fee that would be returned within 30 days. Our room was outdated, especially the bathroom. The bed was not particularly comfortable, unlike other Marriott’s. This hotel is a one and done!
