Trailborn Highlands, Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy

This is a 5 star clean and quiet property! The beds were super comfy! The location was beautiful and close to a few restaurants.If you need to walk.

There is no breakfast here. If they served coffee, juice and muffins, that would be nice! Also there's no pool.

I have been traveling with Marriott brands for over 50 years. Sad to say this hotel does not live up to Marriott standards. Wanted to check in two hours early, but was advised there would be a $35 early check in fee . . . Really! There was also a $200 incidental fee that would be returned within 30 days. Our room was outdated, especially the bathroom. The bed was not particularly comfortable, unlike other Marriott’s. This hotel is a one and done!

I would suggest proceeding with caution. We were advised upon check-in that a $200 fee would be attached to our credit card to ensure if any additional charges to the room were incurred. Staff assured us that upon departure within 3 to 5 days the $200 would be credited back to our credit card. There were no additional charges to our room. It has been two weeks and I have placed two phone calls and two email communications to this organization and they have failed to refund our $200. Upon one of the phone conversations with the supervisor of the front desk seemed a bit sketchy. They have assured me that they submitted this to the credit card company. Our credit card company has denied seeing any such transaction. They were very quick to charge us an additional $35 for arriving 90 minutes early. We did not squabble about that. Please know that the marketing for this hotel makes it look more luxurious than it actually is. It is nice enough. The bathroom in our room was in dire need of an upgrade. There was mold in the grout in the avocado green tile in the shower. The greatest benefit is that they allow pets.

Comfortable and clean rooms, nice decor. Close to downtown and shopping, restaurants. They had coffee and tea in the room- no breakfast.

Trailborn Highlands was such a surprise - I had an epiphany on day two of how blown away I was by everything. I went alone without much of a plan, but every staff member was able to point me in the right direction for local attractions and good hang spots. The Nordic spa was a big surprise, I wasn't expecting all of the small amenities provided and how they'd enhance the experience. I forgot to try the sugar scrub but those scented towels and the tea won me over. Don't skip the chilled towels! I ate at the Highlands Supper Club restaurant on night one, and went back for drinks the second. I was recommended the char grilled oysters and venison over grits - both wonderful, holy crap. The cocktail menu really made it difficult to stay responsible.I was lured in with a complimentary wine that they apparently give out daily, and then I couldn't leave until I sampled most of the cocktail menu. Shout outs to Jade, Bull, Stanley, Jen, and Aaron for all the effort they put into making me and all the new friends I made feel so welcome, and for putting up with all of my questions and stories for way too long.

We had a great time during our stay in Highlands . Trailborn has a great location and great staff. Very clean and very well maintained. I would recommend to anyone. Looking foward to staying again

Super nice with a European flair. Staff was awesome. To bad they did not serve breakfast.

Quaint cozy hotel. Very walkable to enjoy Main Street. Loved that they had puzzles and chess available and even made us fresh coffee in the afternoon while enjoying them!
