Trailborn Highlands, Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy

Die Einrichtung ist sehr gemütlich und gepflegt und das viele Holz und die Naturstoffe sorgen für eine tolles Ambiente. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und die Location ist excellent.

Leider haben wir kein Zimmer mit Balkon mehr erwischt. Die Zimmer Richtung Parkplatz sind zwar auch top, aber leider gibt es auch hier wie in den USA üblich keine Fenster zum öffnen. Wie schade an einem Ort mit Ruhe und sehr guter Luft, die ganze Zeit die Klimaanlage hören zu müssen und die Luft ist trotzdem nicht so gut wie draußen.

I would not call this hotel elevated. The main areas are much more updated and elevated than the rooms. The rooms are severely lacking. Specific feedback is the discoloration in shower tile grout (not sure if stain or mold), The awful bed frames that stick out and I painfully hit my shin on several times. The fact that there is no closet or clothing rail to hang clothes with and Highlands being a pretty popular wedding destination (what I was there for) was less than ideal for hanging. Luckily I brought my own iron and steamer, but these are basically amenities that I think should be provided. The knobs to hang the provided coat hangers from did not allow for my full length dress to hang all the way and created wrinkles. The mini bar having no pricing at all was an issue. I have never stayed at a hotel with a provided mini bar and snack options but without pricing. No water glasses, only 2 styrofoam cups. The one window in my room was so dirty on the outside that I could barely see the beautiful scenery looking out. The shower handle fell off while I was taking a shower. The "fruit and home made banana bread" was a major disappointment. The "fruit" was just red apples, and the banana bread was clearly not homemade. No butter provided to go with the banana bread was also a disappointment. I did like the cruiser bikes. Having to navigate the luggage cart as a solo traveler and not automatic doors to lobby was a sub-par experience. The room was very spacious though, and the bath robes were a nice touch. It is close enough to Main Street though and a good location.

The hotel was pretty old. The windows were very dirty that it was hard to see outside. The shower handle fell off while I was showering, and there seems to be permanent staining on the tile grout. The "fruit and home-made banana bread breakfast" was only red apples with no butter for the banana bread (which did not seem home made and was pretty bland). There was no pricing for the mini bar. Automatic doors at front lobby entrance would have been nice for managing luggage cart by myself. With Highlands being a pretty popular wedding destination, I was surprised there was no where to hang my full-length dress, nor was there any iron to use to de-wrinkle. No glasses for water, only two styrofoam coffee cups. The rooms themselves were roomy very though.

Luxury property walkable to all Highlands Main Street businesses. Property renovated in 2024. Room and common area were very attractive, comfortable and super clean. Amazing paid attention to and accommodated every need without asking. We thoroughly enjoyed and will recommend to all our friends.

Hotel was ok but not for the price charged. Realize the area is remote in the mountains but value was not necessarily there for almost $500 per night stay! Way over priced for what you got!
