Absolutely discusting

Could not dial numbers for reception, phone did not work

Handy for motorway, spacious room, friendly staff, good food.

Not a very attractive building but for a stop off it’s not really an issue.

We were initially placed in a room with broken air conditioning. During our stay, we learned that other families were experiencing the same problem. The reception staff were aware that some rooms had air-conditioning issues, but we were not informed before being assigned the room. When we raised the issue, I felt that I had to push for the hotel to take responsibility, as the initial response seemed to be that we should simply tolerate the situation. As a result, we had to spend our first night in a room without air conditioning. We also discovered that the bed was worn out and that the bed base was heavily stained. I submitted a written complaint on the first night, but the manager did not respond. The following day, another duty manager assisted us and moved us to a much better room, for which we were grateful. The breakfast and dining area was sometimes dirty, and the sofa area appeared never to have been cleaned and was covered in large stains. The patio outside the restaurant had several broken or loose tiles. On the second day, we had to report that a tray of leftover food had been left outside a room since the morning and had not been collected all day. The bar staff eventually arranged for it to be removed. It was also common to see glasses left in the corridors for many hours before being collected. The swimming pool was out of service for a couple of days, and the jacuzzi only worked on the first day of our stay. The hotel claims to be a four-star property, but based on our experience, it did not meet the standards we would expect from a four-star hotel.
