Mission Point Resort

Our anniversary dinner at the restaurant was excellent and Amoy was the best !! We missed the happy hour menu and she asked the chef to make it for us !! She was wonderful and a beautiful smile on her face whenever we saw her!!

We had a good stay here while on Mackinac Island with our two pups. Since we had the pups with us, we were in the Straits Lodge. It is certainly pricey to stay in an older building and it was a shame they only had stand alone A/C units that were loud. The ceiling fan helped. Everything else in the room was fine. Just a short walk from the main lobby. Good restaurant on site plus a gift shop and coffe shop. The real draw is to chill on the huge waterfront lawn in their adirondack chairs. Very nice that it is away from Main Street which is worse than Disney. We had a great stay by hanging around Mission Point and lunching at the Bistro with great service and seating.

The property is stunning and was a wonderful place to stay. The room was nice, the beds comfortable and the overall experience was excellent!

We choose this spot because there is so much to do right on the premises, it is close enough to the hub of the town, but open and spacious as well. The staff was incredibly friendly and service was great.

Mission Point came recommended for their location and amenities. While the locations and grounds were terrific (yeah for pickleball!), so many other aspects were abysmal, especially at a $400+/night price point. The rooms are cramped, dated and deteriorating. The portable AC units are a joke compared to even the Hampton Inn. The place needs a serious remodel/redesign in a way that keeps the old charm but brings it into the 21st century. The meals at the restaurant were inconsistent, sometime OK, others over-seasoned. But what made our experience unpleasant was the poorly trained staff with a few who were unbelievably rude and hostile. Perhaps not too surprising given they are seasonal migrant workers, but we have never encountered the degree of unprofessional behavior in any other establishment. At no price point is this acceptable, but shocking at pricey resort. Next time we’ll save ourselves a penny and avoid the boorishness, and stay on the mainland.

Gorgeous property, only a 15 min walk from the ferry port and close to everything but outside of the busy shopping area. The perfect retreat with lots to do at the resort in addition to everything else Mackinac has to offer. Amazing for families, can rent bikes and explore at your own pace. Dining was excellent and kids eat free!! Would love to stay here again in the future.

The staff was very nice. Food was okay but a little pricey, even with kids eating free. Just wished lodging was a little more updated.

Beautiful grounds, right on the lake

We went to the bar near the putt putt all the flags seemed to be in disrepair. We were not greeted even though someone was right out front. There is a fee to sit on the patio- are they hurting for the 60 cents? The music is for wait staff not patrons Extremely disappointed.

Nostalgia was there (old), pool time was fabulous, hot tub very clean. Food options and setting "worldly" and amazing views.Room clean, but dated. Old fashion air-conditioning worked to cool, but VERY noisy. Access to the room HORRIBLE. Entrance door so stuck that it required a "linebacker"hit to open. Called about it with no service response. I reserved three room ($5,000+ for three full days) and all required a strong "hit" with feet to open, very NOT acceptable. Because of this, will NEVER return...
