Great location, Not too big Not too small hotel. Views are amazing. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful . Aimee and James at the front fest made our stay especially enjoyable . They greeted us with a smile wanting to know how our day was or how our meal was. We had a beautiful suite on the 3rd floor. We were in 316 which had sweeping views of the golf course and sea. It had a lovely LR and sizable BR and Bathroom. The only complaint I have is the water pressure is quite bad and we could not get the water above a Luke warm. We did mention in to Aimee and she was right on it having someone look at it although it did not make a difference. Breakfast was lovely. A wonderful spread each morning as well as fresh cooked off the menu. I would stay again. Highly recommend

The Stay: We recently stayed at Marine North Berwick and were so disappointed that we checked out after only one night of a two-night stay. For a hotel marketed as a 5-star luxury destination, the experience was fundamentally flawed from start to finish. The Issues: • Cleanliness: We found visible cobwebs in the reception area and a spider hanging over our table during dinner. When we raised the issue of dirty seating in the restaurant, management informed us they are only deep-cleaned once a year. • Facilities & Accuracy: The "two restaurants" advertised are actually just one restaurant and a bar. Furthermore, the spa—a main reason for our booking—was effectively unavailable. We were given conflicting stories about staffing levels and availability, which felt like a lack of transparency. • Room Quality: Our first room had no cold water (the tap produced boiling water only), forcing a room move. Despite booking a "pet-friendly" package, no promised amenities (bed/bowl) were provided until we asked. • Service & Value: We were hit with an unexpected £35/night pet fee that wasn't transparently disclosed at booking. Dinner was overpriced, the order was incorrect, and the food quality was poor. Management Response: When we raised these concerns, the responses from the duty management were dismissive, suggesting that cleanliness issues "couldn't be helped." While the hotel has since refunded our stay after we contacted Booking.com, the level of service and maintenance is nowhere near the 5-star standard they advertise. Verdict: Beautiful building, but the management and basic standards of hygiene and service are severely lacking. We will not be returning.

I was excited to go back to this hotel, we came around 10 years ago, I remember the service and specially the spa, the open jacuzzi, its a most. However, this time, eventho the hotel looks refurbish, I was disapointed. I went to the communal toilet and there was a short lady with glasses laughing, and recording herself, I thought it was a guest, but no, she was cleaning the toilet, she just smiled at me like nothing happened,it was weird; the worst came the next day when I saw her again, she was a housekeeper, I kept thinking does she record herself at my room?with my things? Thats odd, is there any privacy nowadays? Its disapointing that a nice hotel like this you have to go through that.

The public areas of the hotel are beautiful, the views are unbelievable from main reception/ lobby

The bedrooms and ensuites are dated, felt like a Premier Inn. Definitely not what I expected for what we paid or from having visited other Marine and Lawn hotels recently. The rooms are stifling. Far too hot. Turned the radiators off completely and theres still heat coming out of them. The windows , whilst original and beautiful, are impossible to open. I tried and failed a couple of times during the night. It was a very uncomfortable sleep.

The service and food and drink excellent !

Ooh the wallpaper was shocking but it suited the whole style !
