I recently spent seven days at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel while attending the Caribbean Studies Association's 50th Annual Conference, and I had an excellent experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome. Special thanks to Loretta, Yolanda, the entire Front Desk team, and the Security team, who were always pleasant, attentive, responsive, and professional. Their friendliness and willingness to assist made a real difference throughout my stay. The hotel facilities were wonderful. I enjoyed the pool area, which provided a great space to relax between conference activities, and the Spa team deserves a special mention for helping me unwind after long days of meetings, presentations, and events. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job, ensuring that rooms and common areas remained clean and comfortable throughout the week. The food was another highlight. The banquet meals and conference catering were delicious, well-prepared, and consistently enjoyable. What stood out most was the professionalism of the staff during unexpected challenges, including the power outage that affected parts of the island during our stay. The team remained calm, helpful, and committed to providing excellent service despite the circumstances. The Jamaica Pegasus was a fantastic host venue for such an important conference. Thank you to the entire team for your hospitality and for helping make the CSA's 50th Anniversary Conference a memorable success. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend the hotel to both business and leisure travelers.

The Pegasus remains the best hotel in Kingston for any large business gathering. I stayed there for a week for the CSA Conference and the service was excellent. I could see how hard the staff worked at all levels to make us comfortable and to cater to our needs. Some of my colleagues stayed at the sister hotel, Courtleigh, and the team really came out strong. I also enjoyed the food - really lovely rice and peas! and the 24 hour Cafe at the front of Pegasus was such a joy and delight. Best Oatmeal cookies ever! I will definitely be back for Business and some pleasure!

There is nothing luxe about this hotel and check out my review of their sister hotel The Courtleigh. From the sad breakfast and if you're vegan all you're getting for breakfast is the fruit and tea. The ATM was clearly out of money and Patrice at the front desk told me she didn't have any complaints and therefore the issue didn't exist. Then proceeded to tell me to walk 15 min or take a 5 min taxi to the bank. Bizarre at best. The rooms are dated and the conference spaces used for the Caribbean Studies Association conference lacked audio visual staff, equipment and class. Our view was stunted by the ropes for painting using a scaffold and mold on bathrooms that need updating. Yuck, oh and this hotel is incapable of cash advances but thinks it's a leader in the hospitality. Get a room at the Four Seasons instead, for the money I wasted here you'd do better paying more.
