Hotel Aston La Scala

Very disappointing experience. This hotel is in urgent need of a full renovation. The first room I was assigned had a shower that barely worked, forcing me to request a room change. While the staff accommodated the move, the second room was not much better. The bed was broken, and although I chose not to complain again because the hotel was fully booked, it was unacceptable for a property that claims to be a 4-star hotel. The building feels dated, many of the facilities are worn out, and overall maintenance appears to have been neglected. The location is excellent, but unfortunately that alone does not make up for the poor condition of the rooms. For the price charged, the quality of the accommodations falls far below expectations. There are many better options in Nice at similar price points. I would not stay here again until significant renovations are completed.

Hotel has the perfect location, (to restaurants, city center, old town and beach), provides excellent service, excellent breakfast and is reasonably priced.

Lit horrible j’ai très mal dormi car le lit se séparait au milieu et pas confortable La salle de bain est très petite avec une douche minuscule. Les toilettes sont extrêmement exiguës coincées entre la baignoire et la douche. Enfin l’état général de propreté est à revoir. Pour le prix de 1338 euros pour 2 nuits cela ne les vaut pas du tout!!!

This is a great hotel situated in the heart of Nice within walking distance to shops, old town, promenade, restaurants and cafes.The wonderful Place Masséna is across the road. The rooms are clean(cleaning was daily if requested) , comfortable and well equipped( AC , mini bar , ample wardrobe space , kettle, tea and coffee and safe. Breakfast was buffet style with lots of choice - cooked and continental. My only issue was the hairdryer which was attached to the wall in bathroom and not what I’m used to, you may want to bring your own. I did ask at reception for an alternative but whilst they did have some they had all been handed out , so perhaps others had the same issue. Anyway , I would definitely return to the hotel as the location was superb and the service and staff very good. There was a roof top bar and pool also which I didn’t have time to see.
