Montecito Inn

Its a charming older hotel in good condition. The rooms, and bathroom, are a bit small, but the ambience is great and the location perfect. Parking is easy. They have a manual elevator; we used stairs to 3rd floor. Morning coffee and continental breakfast. Attached bar/restaurant was cool. Would recommend for a romantic getaway or quick visit.

When I made my reservation I received an email that the elevator was broken and out of use. I called and was told it was to be fixed before we arrived. When we arrived it was not Andy our room was in the third floor. When we told the hotel clerk on duty we couldn’t walk up 3 floors she wanted to upgrade us for a fee and we objected and let her know what we were told the elevator would have been fixed upon check in so she agreed to give us a room on the first floor without an addl charge w/o an upgrade finally.

The Mountain View room was quaint but it was so loud with the downstairs bar and the next door ladies going in and out of the room. It needs a major update.

A beautiful hotel in a great walking/shopping area with more great restaurants than I could count. If you are willing to accept some of the minor inconveniences that come with being in an older property, you will treated like royalty by the excellent front desk and helpful hotel staff.

Almost everything

The boy checking us in put us in a handicap room - we are old but on a honeymoon and did not need to be reminded of our age and future possibilities!

Love all the walkable restaurants and places and safe area.
