Rooms are very old. Desperately need to be renovated

The Hotel is located in an excellent location near many fantastic restaurants and coffee shops and also just a shot walk to the beach

We love the Montecito Inn! With incredible restaurants and shopping within walking distance and the sand beneath our toes in just a couple of minutes, I feel relaxed and loved on from the first opened door to the time we leave. Whether business or personal excursions this historic upscale cozy inn will make your trip a 5 star experience. We will be back!

While the hotel is in a great location, I can’t say we were happy with much else. Some of the front desk staff were unfriendly that we felt unwelcomed and like an inconvenience to them (at check-in). We chose not to ask questions if certain staff were working. House keeping, valet and doormen were all nice. The room was not worth the price we paid ($395 per night with one night free because we booked for four nights). The room was of poor quality with awful pillows, toilet paper that was so cheap and thin, soap that really didn’t work well and damaged bed frame with old and chipped furniture. Their breakfast, which is included in the price, was made up of a few pieces of fruit (mostly bananas) and some pastries with coffee and tea. Overall, it felt like things were done as cheaply as possible while charging you the highest price possible because of the area.

While the amenities are straightforward and cater to basic needs, they are thoughtfully provided and contribute to the overall comfort of your stay. I stayed for a long weekend and found it to be an excellent value for the price. The combination of the warm hospitality, convenient location, and overall charm made for a memorable experience. I wouldn't hesitate to return and would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a cozy, low-frills retreat in a prime location.

Snarky check in. No smile. No welcoming greeting.. Pro forma . Bored. Done this a million times. Glaring due to the contrast to the enthusiastic reception we’d experienced the day before at another hotel. As an older couple with obviously heavy luggage we were surprised that hotel receptionist suggested we could take the elevator OR the stairs, a very steep set of stairs. Room decor was tired, door to the drink cabinet fell off when we opened it. Exceedingly small bathroom. In stark contrast the valet was extremely enthusiastic and accommodating.Isn’t this all upside down?
