The building and rooms are lovely. The soaps are great! The food at the restaurant was very delish. The staff was helpful, happy, and kind. The valet was particularly wonderful. The hotel is in the best location in the world, easy to get to all the beautiful spots, and great to just walk around the neighborhood.

Nice and inviting, old classic charm. Very clean and tidy. Easy to get to, staff were friendly and easy to talk to. Great location for dinner, drinks, and additional amenities or snack in walking distance. Despite the ugly scaffolds the mountain view was lovely.

The situation is great for beach, restaurant and shops. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean, the shower was hot. The decor is more shabby than chic Staff generally pleasant but not helpful. No restaurant, only a bar and limited snacks. Advertises breakfast but it is barely continental...muffins and bananas. Tea & coffee available 24hrs but who wants either of those that have been brewed and kept hot for hours? NO guest information in the room. NO Fire evacuation procedure.

Room was ample and charming. Whole feel was generous and old-world cool. Gym was more than sufficient. Service was responsive and attentive.

Window was open in my room when I first checked in. That's not a problem at all - it was helpful. But the window itself was slightly broken or deteriorating and I was worried about the frame breaking.

Beautiful hotel. Great location. Wonderful Staff. If you want to stay in Montecito, or visiting Santa Barbara, this hotel is a wonderful option. Butterfly beach is three blocks away, and an easy walk. It is located in the perfect spot for dining in Montecito.
