"Uncomfortable stay"

2.0

Friendly staff, but musty and cluttered, every surface in the room was covered in dusty decorations. No place to put your luggage or laptop. Noisy room- you could hear the staff talking in the next room. Heater was very noisy. Breakfast was burnt and the cook was coughing the whole time. Booked 2 nights but stayed only one.

"You will not be disappointed!!"

10.0

The stay was a bliss! Who would have thought to wake up to so many peacocks!! We arrived quite late and were met with the most welcoming hosts! Room is small in English style but cozy. The breakfast was too big a portion for us but definitely fresh and good. Of coz, the peacocks all around the house, premises, were totally pleasing! This' a place that we'll sure to go back to in the future!

This is a very cute BnB, with two excellent hosts. It was clean, quiet, comfortable, and very dog friendly. They provided a delicious home made breakfast in the morning, with excellent coffee. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Super cute place, great combination of cozy and ktichy. Location felt like a million miles from anywhere, especially with the peacocks roaming around, but close enough to serve as a good base to explore Death Valley NP (even more so if/when Grapevine Pass is reopened). Jennifer & Nigel were helpful & super friendly and their breakfasts made for excellent exploration fuel. Great collection of books and maps on-site to use for planning. Can't wait to stay here again!

A guest should never be greeted by someone so drunk they can’t speak that proceeds to follow you into your tiny room, close the door, shoves you around, and lays on your bed speaking blacked out gibberish. This place is appalling and I don’t recommend anyone ever stay here.

The hospitality at the Shady Lady was excellent. It was well worth the extra drive, out of the way. Both mornings they made us a hearty, delicious breakfast & sent us off with suggestions on how to spend our day. It felt like staying at a friend’s house. Cool history. We would absolutely stay here again.

When I pulled up into the designated guest parking area, my girlfriend and I were immediatly confronted with a beautiful house that had a cozy porch and a stone pathway leading up to it. There was a small pond, and a cute little gazebo out front. When we walked through the gate, we noticed the peacocks around the corner and a goat. The peacocks were absolutely beautiful and obviously well taken care of. There were also dogs that belonged to the owner, sitting on the porch when we came in. Jennifer greeted us and quickly found our rooms for us. The common area was decorated so beautifully, it seemed like something you would see in a grand hotel! We walked through the kitchen to get to our rooms, but there is another door you can go through to access the standard rooms. The rooms were a bit worn, but everything was clean and cozy. This place is VERY pet friendly. Jennifer was so accomodating for our cat, Griffin, and he fit right in with all the other animals on the property. The breakfast was really good and all the guests were friendly. The entire stay felt nostalgic, almost like I was just spending the night at my grandma's house. I will most definitely be staying here if I pass through Beatty again!

This is a wonderful place to stay. Breakfast delicious and healthy. Owner made us feel welcome and comfortable. Bed and room great. Best sleep we have had on our vacation. No TV in room which we think contributed to our relaxing nights sleep. Peacocks were a plus. Highly recommend if you are looking for comfortable accommodations in an out of the way location.

"The most pet friendly and people friendly place in Nevada."

10.0

When you stay here, you become a temporary member of the family. The kindness of the hosts was unparalleled. Jennifer was bubbly and receptive. She treated our dogs as the members of our family that they are. This is by far the most pet friendly place I’ve ever been. She shared the shed peacock feathers generously and the food was delicious. She went out of her way to accommodate my many food allergies. When our car unexpectedly broke down Jennifer and her husband offered us one of their vehicles to borrow to drive to Beatty to get what we needed. We ended up not using it, but the offer was magnanimous.
