"Ideal situation with everything an ordinary person could wish for, all very reasonably priced."

Ideally situated for anyone walking the Canal. A plain, comfortable, no frills pub with friendly staff, good food and a range of draft drinks. Big area to sit outside with tables, chairs and umbrellas - just right on a hot day.

Nothing without spoiling it.

"The perfect quick bite"

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat for evening club cycle ride. Used the app, fast service and great food. Had the chicken wings. Good selection of food and app is easy to use as I didn't want to leave my bike unattended.Nice large beer garden and conveniently located right opposite the train station. Will be calling in on the way back for a pint. Staff very good. Was asked if I need a glass of water (Hannah) as I'd forgotten my bike bottle

The staff were lovely and friendly.Breakfast was good, as was the evening meal we had. Parking was easy and it was ideally situated for where we wanted to stay.

It was extremely noisy, especially on a Saturday night. It was also too close to the railway with the crossing signals going off constantly. The height of the shower was OK for us, but anyone over five foot seven would struggle.

"The noise was a problem."

Our room was spacious and clean, beds were comfy. However, one day of our stay they had a 'festival' in their park like front yard, attended by probably 200 people.... great event for the locals. The extremely loud music went from noon to 11PM, about 100 feet from our room. Not good. Also, one morning no one showed up at the restaurant so no breakfast. Other nights bar patrons were noisy outside until midnight or so. Lesson learned: don't stay at an inn with a huge bar crowd.
