USIt's a very clean apartment on the top floor of a 3 story bldg. One flight of stairs to climb to get to apt. Fantastic ocean view and balcony. You are one block from the water and a beach area (black rock beach, not sand). Great cafe/nightclub just down the hill one block for breakfast/lunch/dinner and drinks. Barreirinha Bar Café. Be aware that the cafe has an outdoor band setup that played as late as midnight during our stay. If you are a light sleeper, this might not be the best option for you. The schedule of bands playing is in the nightclub, it appears every weekend they have a band playing.
It's a downhill walk to anything we wanted to do, which means an uphill walk to get back. There is no uber on the island but a company called Bolt does have rideshare service and it's fairly cheap. Same concept as Uber. Only negative was the loud bands that played outdoors one block away. They stopped at 10:00 some nights and midnight other nights.

GBThis is a lovely apartment with everything you could need. The balcony has a delightful view of the greenery below and of the sea and gets the sun almost all of the day. Sabrina and Ricardo were good communicators and everything was clear. The apartment is a little way up the hill directly in the old town and 2 minutes from the sea and all the restaurants, about 10 mins walk to the marina. Would definitely come back again.
Not a problem for us as we travelled in March but just to note there is no air con so could be hot in summer months.
