JOBright open top floor apartment in characterful villa with sliding windows giving view onto prettiest part of old Funchal and ocean beyond. Great for watching Madeira’s wild weather. Good to have proper oven (many apts just have hub and microwave) good washing machine and dishwasher. Carla was very helpful and reachable on WhatsApp.
As with other reports bed might be a little hard for some.

All the rest. Very small living area, rusty pieces everywhere: fridge; bathroom fixtures, cupboard handle fell off of kitchen cabinet when touched the first time, dish towel with big hole etc.
GBThe view was amazing.
The bed was uncomfortable and the freezer/fridge requires to be defrosted as it had an exceptional build of ice in both compartments.Also one of the shelves was broken which my husband repaired There was no mop for mopping the floors,which we bought a mop head at one of the local shops and interchanged the brush the shaft with it. No batteries in the clock which my husband replaced.

wifi had some issues, but owners were very quick to solve it.
ATThe apartment was in a good location and we could walk into the city center easily.
There were mosquitos in our apartment which we had to try to find them and kill them before they ate us up. We made sure that the doors were closed, I think they had come in from before. Bed was a bit uncomfortable and the place was a bit old.

CAGreat location for those who don’t mind walking. Tiny balcony but with nice view. Washer was a nice feature and clothes rack on balcony.
Orientation to the apartment was not fully provided for example we discovered a step stool on the balcony was necessary to access the dishes in the very high cupboards.
