GBLovely huge room, self-contained and just across from where I parked the car; walk-in wardrobe, huge bathroom, very warm welcome from the manager and equally warm welcome to breakfast by the morning staff. Two dogs stay free, and the room was huge so they weren't at all cramped. Small fridge in the room with a bottle of milk in it. Proper individual toiletries! Staff extremely accommodating throughout. Breakfast included; ample cooked breakfast options and although they didn't have cereal on the menu, they would have popped across to the village shop to get some in for us if we had really wanted!
The shower didn't produce any hot water but we didn't discover this until the morning, so no point mentioning it at that stage but when we return, we will make sure we ask if there is a knack to this! The beds were a little strange, and it felt as if I was sleeping on a jelly!! - not quite sure if it was the mattress or the base.
GBThe atmosphere was welcoming & warm. David was friendly, funny, made you feel at home straight away. The accommodation was beautifully cosy cottage chic, the beds were comfy, the bedding clean & crisp white & nice & cool with the lovely wooden blinds. The food is 5* excellent with large portions for the bigger appetites in the family. The staff are friendly & knowledgeable & we will definitely stay there again.

GBAuthentic English pub located at an old fire station. Run really well by Dave and Brenda who are the ultimate hosts.
Beautifully presented and delightful.
GBThe hosts were good, breakfast was excellent. The pub itself was furnished well and relaxing.
Arrived around 10 pm as advised in advance. We were shown quickly to our room in a block of 3 outside of the main pub. It was a family room consisting of a double bed and 2 singles. The room smelt musty and the bathroom window was open and it was cold. Heating could have been put on in advance as the arrival time had been provided. The room was clean and it had tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom was large and had no controlled heating and was therefore cold. We left the bedroom heating on all night with the bathroom door open. The shower was over the bath and we couldn't find a way of locking it in for overhead use and therefore had to use it handheld. There was plenty of hot water at good pressure. It was £140 for one night including breakfast, but unfortunately it does not warrant that rate. I would happily eat and drink at the pub, but would not choose to stay there again
GBVery friendly staff. Excellent food.
The accommodation is in need of updating.

GBSurprisingly quiet as being attached to a public house. Lovely rural setting.
Bathroom needed some modernisation.
