Palazzo Sovrana Serviced Luxury Apartments

After reading the many excellent reviews it was a no brainer, but was still a bit skeptical with the no reception but gave it a try regardless and so glad we did! We were welcomed by Filippo and Laura who also scheduled the car service to pick us up at the airport. They welcomed us as if we’re family❤️❤️. The place is spot clean, crisp linen, marble floors, updated everything and with the front view of Teatro Massimo. The doors to the balconies are sound proof, we loved opening them so we can hear the people passing by, the music etc but once closed there was no sound at all…amazing. AC works like a charm and daily housekeeping service was a plus. Palazzo Sovrana is in the middle of the action. We walked everywhere even to CitySea, the wharf (Molo in Italian). Doba, the restaurant up in the roof is also a must and chef Bacile is superb! If you are looking for an amazing place to stay, look no further, this is the place. They also give you vouchers for breakfast in the cafe right in front. This was our first time in Palermo and can wait to come back and stay at Palazzo Sovrana. Amazing stay in the center of Palermo. We had a corner room with a view of the theatre, which was quite special. Enjoyed the restaurant one night and the hospitality of the staff and family owners the entire weekend. Breakfast at the cafe was adequate, service has something to be desired. Great location. Be sure to read the booklet on the art and history of the building and be sure to inquire about the connection to the film, The Godfather.

Great place to stay

This apartment is located centrally located and you can get your breakfast and coffee at the restaurant right beneath the apartment. We thought it would be fun/interesting to stay at an apartment, but it was just meh. It just didn’t feel like we were on vacation. It was a little depressing and for us we realized we would rather stay at a hotel.

Great, central location for walking.

Two couples traveling to Sicily for first time, we found the “in”spot to stay in Palermo. Literally across the street from the beautiful Massimo Theater that is the starting point for action in several tour books, the hotel offered excellen staff (although these are apartment hotel rooms and staff only physically there a few hours a day), good sized clean room, and terrific location to see the heart of Zplaermo. Rooftop dinner at Doba with great meal and view to die for. The negatives: 1. Literally in the heart of the action and with (yum!) an international gelato festival going on 30 yards away, hectic and noisy- luckily shutters on windows kept out most noise. Fun but busy. 2.Difficult driving in pedestrian-busy one way areas Overall, very much enjoyed.

Convenient location.

Great location easily walk to many of the interesting location. Room clean and well serviced. Breakfast at cafe outside was excellent. Could use a more comfortable chair for relaxing.
