Palazzo Sovrana Serviced Luxury Apartments

Excellent location. Room was wonderful, spacious and clean.

The room was outstanding. Roomy, well furnished, and comfortable. The building is directly across from the Opera House and close to many food options and local attractions. Make sure that you close the shutters at night because the square in front of the Opera House attracts a lot of people late into the evening. The free breakfast across the street at the excellent cafe was a bonus.

There’s no lobby, and the staff isn’t on site unless you’re checking in.

Our stay was on the tail end of a 21 day motorcycle trip so we were EXTREMELY upset and disappointed to find out that the laundry facilities that were listed as an amenity did not exist. We had 2 weeks of clothes to launder and nothing clean. After finding a laundromat and doing the washing there, we finished up just in time for the cory to shut down for siesta. So we basically missed out on seeing the city Our 1 day in the city was wasted because of a false. we tried to use the in room hot tub, but there wasn't sufficient water flow from the taps to fill it We also found the communication from the hotel to be inconsistent because as it turns out, it isn't a full service hotel. This became a bigger problem when we ran out of toilet paper in the room after 9pm, and no one was around to drop off refills. A note- the breakfast vouchers they gave us for breakfast did not cover the cost of an actual meal and a coffee. Also the photos show a balcony staged with a table fore two in reality it was only big enough for two pigeons, NO table would fit there. if you book a room facing the theatre, the street lights are at window level and don't turn off at night. Pretty dissatisfied.

A fabulous place to stay right in the centre of town. Filippo was a great host and made sure everything was right for us during our 2 night stay. Highly recommended! We got a from the airport but got the train back which was inexpensive but slightly longer than the taxi! The property was an easy flat, pedestrianised walk away - around 20 mins.

Understand that this is not a hotel. They are service apartments. There is no parki g AT hotel. It is a few blocks away and initially hard to find. After a long flught and treacherous driving in from the airport it was frusturating not to be able to find the place. It is immediately behind the Sephora. Need to make an appointment to check in and there is a fee after 7 pm. Very private and right in the center of things. Friendly staff

Palazzo Sovrana in Palermo was our favourite place to stay in all of Sicily. We were given a beautiful, spacious and well appointed apartment with a stunning view of Teatro Massimo. Couldn’t ask for a better location. Great bed, great bathroom and great kitchen. Lots of nice art everywhere. Top quality, luxurious furnishings. Surprisingly quiet with the double glazed glass doors shut at night, despite the extremely busy and popular area. Parking lot not too far away (25 euro per night). Excellent restaurant Doba on the top floor with a brilliant five course degustation menu of modern Sicilian cuisine (the chef was an absolute delight to meet). While this is a serviced apartment rather than a traditional hotel, we couldn’t recommend it highly enough and would love to come back one day to hang out in Palermo.

These are apartments opposite the Teatro Massimo - the one we had is on the 2nd floor with a side view from the balcony onto the square. The apartment consists of two connected rooms and bathroom and was well presented. Of particular note is how well the sound-proofing of the windows performed - almost all external noise was eliminated. This area of Palermo is pedestrianised and gives access to the Old Section of town as well as a wide variety of shops and restaurants. There is off-site parking (600m) charged at €25/day. The owners Paola and Fillippo are very conscientious and helpful - much of this communication is done via WhatsApp which works well. We would thoroughly recommend this property for couples wanting to stay in the centre of Palermo - whether any of the apartments suit families would need verification.
