Residence Inn by Marriott Lubbock Southwest

We enjoyed the spacious suite. Everything was good. It was clean. The bed was comfy. However, there were a few matters that need to be addressed :the carpet was torn in two areas, the bathtub drain didn't work well, the shower curtain was too short and caused water to leak out, the lamp shade was damaged, also the light above the stove was out. I wanted to use the pool, but there was no shade at all, and a few umbrellas would have been a really nice feature. (not everyone wants to bake in the sun). The door on the first floor, facing north was totally broken so the security factor was gone. When we got there, we were told about the parking fee per night, which was laughable. This is Lubbock and parking is not an issue anywhere. The fee was not declared when I reserved the room, and unnecessary. Just more corporate greed. Use the money to make room repairs,and improve the pool area. We enjoyed the food service and the staff was very friendly in there. Thank you.

The stay was good and the service was good. The only thing was that the bathroom door handle was broken and loose. Did not lock, the shower corner soap baskets were loose. The kitchen counter separated and the shelf next to the mirror was broken and hanging.

Room was huge, but in poor condition. Privacy curtains falling down. Ice machine not working. Breakfast bar out of food on holiday weekend.

Quite large comfortable room.

I've stayed at this location several times, and the front desk is very friendly and helpful. I also appreciate the cleanliness and quiet, spacious room.
