Amazing location and large, clean room!

Everything was great until, I noticed one Chocolate milk was expired. My child said it tasted different. Sure enough, noticed it was 4 days expired. Checked the rest of milk available and seems they missed one. I discarded the bad one.

Friendliness

Visiting Lubbock TX during a family funeral. What a disappointment during a family crisis! The carpet was filthy as though it had not been vacuumed even before the last guest(s) were there. Hair in the shower, bathroom floor, sink and counter. Dirty dishes in the cabinet to where a glass I “was” going to use was so sticky we couldn’t even remove it from the cabinet. Something was growing on it too. The vents in the room had not been cleaned in a very long time. Broken glass in the parking area in two locations. The front desk was notified by several guests and told by the front desk they would clean it up but after staying two nights, on the third day that we checked out, the broken glass was still there. Extremely lazy staff that is just there for a paycheck and not taking responsibility for the job they were hired to do. The breakfast area wasn’t any better. Very disappointing to spend the money for a filthy room. In dealing with the family death we just didn’t have the energy to deal with the hotel employees that just didn’t care. Do NOT recommend this hotel or chain.

Room size

The light bulbs needed to be replaced because they were burned out. Barbara at front desk said they didn’t have any replacements. The waffle batter was rancid. The bathroom was dirty. The kitchen trash had a wine bottle still in it from the previous guest. There was a sex toy in one of the drawers. The employee named Barbara was extremely rude to multiple guests over a period of 2 hours while I was working in the lobby.

We had no hot water from Thursday night until Saturday morning. We checked out never having even had warm water. It was freezing. The staff was uninformed and completely unhelpful. We would never recommend this hotel due to terrible mismanagement.

Still a nice place to stay. The place is getting older and it’s starting to show
