Lagoon Apartments on Hamilton Island by HIHA

The location is amazing and the inclusion of the buggy really made everything easier. The size of the apartment meant everyone could relax in their own space. We will definitely go back!

I had rung to confirm our early arrival and unfortunately the information did not get passed on. The air con in the main bedroom did not have a cover on it. It would be nice to have some milk in the fridge to use before you have to go to the IGA to get things. They installed a new coffee machine while we were there but it leaked everywhere. It was also after we booked that we found out that this accomadation did not include the non motorised water sports like most other places on the island do.

The location was amazing, the view to die for and the staff especially the valets were wonderful. The kitchen was well equipped and the property comfortably allowed 5 of us to stay in for the week.

There were a couple of minor issues when we arrived (empty gas bottle and golf cart light issues) but were promptly fixed without any issue and amazing service. Also be careful not to leave the balcony doors open, cockatoos like to pop inside for a visit hehe

Our buggy broke down but the hosts took care of it while we were off on a boat tour so it was super efficient and easy.

The apartment was spacious & close to the beach. A convenient location. it was nice to be met at the airport by a driver that took us to pick up the buggy at the Marina, however I would have preferred to be taken directly to the apartment to settle in.

The apartment was not ready when we arrived at 2.30pm, even though our arrival details were given to the hosts. As the cleaning team had just started their cleaning so we had to come back in one hour - 4pm . we left our luggage just outside the door. Upon our return, the floor was left very wet from the cleaning crew and kitchen sink blocked and smelly. We had to use the mop to dry the floor before moving our luggage through. The apartment was right next to the community bins so you heard the noise of people throwing out their rubbish at all times of the day. There were cockroaches due to the proximity of the bins. Not much sleep in 2nd bedroom as there was a humming noise from the electrical room next door. There was construction in the apartment above us which was not pleasant and noisy during the day. not enough basic toiletries, so had to buy our own from the stores. I had requested a late check out but the cleaning team showed up at 10am exactly and started yelling at us to get out. They had called their supervisor to harass us out of the apartment. It was a very unpleasant situation and especially for my 80 year old mum. Not a pleasant way to finish our holiday. I wouldn't want to stay in this apartment again.

Very spacious and generously equipped. We didn’t even hear any neighbors. The view was great!

Nicely decorated, comfortable, clean with quiet end of beach. Lovely views with easy access to lawn from patio.
