Lagoon Apartments on Hamilton Island by HIHA

The airport transfer service, included golf buggy, location, view, inclusions and general spaciousness makes this accommodation a great option for families. Bed was quite comfortable.

The premises is getting tired and dated, as is the furniture. There's obviously damage and marks here and there that need addressing and haven't been.

Location was great, close to the beach and a short drive from everything. Buggy included was really useful and made the days getting around the island fast and easy. Bed was comfortable and good space in the apartment.

Old furniture, room was not cleaned properly prior to our arrival, pillows were filthy and had weird brown stains on them. Dusty furniture, the showers were not clean and had hair on the floor. Fridge was not working well and we had meat in the fridge that had gone bad due to the fridge not very cool and not working well at all. Our bottles of water were at room temperature even though they stayed in the fridge. For some reason the fans werent working until the second last day. Dishes were dirty so we didnt feel comfortable cooking with them.

We loved apartment 002 on the ground floor and still had a wonderful view. We had wildlife right in front of us from wallabies eating the grass to kookaburras drinking from the bird bath. The apartment was spacious, modern and clean. The pool was perfect for us as we needed a railing to enter the pool but there are also great free access pools along the beach. We loved the location able to hear the waves at the beach, close to everything but not in a busy location. We loved that it came with a golf buggy which gave us access to explore the island but also the convenience to go where we wanted when we wanted no matter the weather. Thank you to the valet service who made our arrival and departure smooth. We thought it would be difficult with two going through the airport and another through the Marina but they were so lovely and helpful they made it easy.

Nothing - it was perfect. Although the balcony door from the main bedroom didn’t lock, but we told Housekeeping at departure so hopefully that gets fixed quickly.

We were met by a valet driver who took our luggage and we were able to drive the buggy right away. The view of the ocean was beautiful and the rooms were clean. Loved having the kitchen and ability to wash clothes. The buggy was so useful in the stay.

The second bedroom didn't have any blinds, meaning that our children woke each day much earlier than we would have liked as the morning sun woke them. The kitchen utensils were quite cheap and old and could do with replacing. It would be good to have Lagoon Lodge included in the 'Kids Eat Free' deal on the island.

We loved the location and size of Apartment 2 Lagoon. It was comfortable and we loved being on the ground floor.

The apartment could have been cleaner. The kitchen floor was dirty. The towels were quite thin and not really clean. Also, I would expect there to be at least a couple of coffee pods for the Nespresso but there were none.

The Whitsunday Islands are beautiful and worth visiting. It's very relaxed. The use of golf buggies to get around the island was excellent. The ATV Tour was a lot of fun. The Catamaran tour to White haven beach was awesome.

The App - you can't use the app to make bookings for restaurants etc in the way you expect to do in 2024. Its like nothing has changed since 2005. Customer experience was poor to average across the island. A distinct lack of enthusiasm considering the cost of the holiday. The restaurants were average on the whole. The most uncomfortable pool and beach sun loungers we've experienced.
