Love Sundial everything you need on property - sushi bar is our favorite - excellent! Property looks beautiful - we have been going to Sundial and Sanibel for years - amazing recovery! ☀️☀️☀️☀️

We had a 2 bedroom condo with an extra den that could have closed off as a third bedroom. It was freshly painted with new flooring and furniture. Breakfast with Danny cooking omelettes was delicious! They had the freshest strawberries. Condo was right in the beach for beautiful shelling. And the overall location was very convenient to stores and restaurants and other beaches.

The beach is outstanding. Pickleball wonderful. Resort poor. There were few guests, scant staff, recycled food (exception was Japanese steakhouse which was very good). Our unit was not clean. There was hair in shower drain and dirty floors. Unit was stripped down completely. We’ve stayed here before with greater pleasure and hope management works harder to encourage guests like us to return. The reception staff cannot possibly know the polish and amenities in each condo. So it’s really a crapshoot where they assign you. The units are all privately owned so we can’t understand why the owners aren’t supervising the assignments and cleaning more carefully. If guests like us loose confidence in the quality of the units we will go elsewhere.

Were able to book a 4-day trip to Sanibel and Sundial has done an amazing job of rebuilding. Crowds were a little light during the weekdays but picked up on weekends. I don't think this trend will continue as Sundial appears to be back and complete. We were able to go to some of our favorite restaurants as well as new ones. No complaints with old faves or new restaurants on the island. It was great to see the pickle ball courts full as well as bicyclists which weren't as prevalent on our last visit just this summer. Sanibel continues to impress with its recovery from where it was one or two years ago. Comments that it isn't what it was, well that may be a long time coming, but the re-growth of vegetation and by residents, guests and business owners is nothing short of amazing. Keep it up! Can't wait to return.

We had a great time at Sundial! We did a day pass twice on vacation. The amenities were top notch! The service was top notch as well! They had fun activities for the kids and the adults. The woman who was in charge of the activities was great and all had fun with her. We had one small issue with noseeums which was new to us and they let us come back another day and gave us some tips for the bugs. Colleen was fantastic and did a great job making sure we were happy!

Very nice Resort. Not a 5 star but they are remodeling. Easy access to the beautiful beach. Resturants were very good. Service was excellent. We went off season so there was not may people on the property which we liked.

Maybe because I booked on Expedia and not with the hotel directly, the room was horrible. I had called the property to make them aware that it was a special time-my husband's birthday, the room as well as the location, left a lot to be desired. Thank God for Mae, the receptionist that changed our room the next day. The stay improved after that..the beach is beautiful

My family and I traveled to Sanibel Island and stayed at the Sundial Resort this past month. I booked the Sundial based on the recommendation of a friend who had previously stayed at the resort, prior to the hurricanes in 2022. Although there is still "construction" (using that term very loosely), it in no way shape or form deterred from our trip. We are a family of five and I took advantage of an online special that included vouchers for the breakfast buffet every morning of our stay. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite with a partial Gulf view. The room was immaculate, spacious, and extremely comfortable for all five of us. It had a full kitchen and two bathrooms. I will now never go anywhere with my family unless it has two bathrooms! It just made life so much easier! The building where our room was located was 1 building away from the main resort pool and beach access however this was not an issue for us. There was a pool by our building but we opted to use the larger resort one for reasons I'll describe in a bit. Upon our arrival, much earlier than the check-in time, I was told that our room was available. We quickly changed into bathing suits, put on our wristbands, and headed down to the pool area. We had a delicious lunch at Turtle's Tiki Bar. We ate here every day of our stay with the exception of two days (one day we ate off property, one day we ate in the room). Our arrival day was a Saturday and, to be expected, the pool area was crowded but not overly crowded. We were able to get chairs. We headed down to the beach where chairs and two umbrellas were also set up for us. Now, I'll be honest, I was a little worried that my three sons would be bored in a matter of days and we were booked for a week. They are ages 19, 17, and 13. It turned out to not even be an issue! Everyday there are poolside activities, including Bingo. We played everyday! My 13 year old even won twice (free ice cream)! There was also arts and crafts (that was a hard no for them), beach volleyball, spike ball and pool basketball (we unfortunately didn't get to do this because a thunderstorm shut down the pool for a bit both times). They also brought a football to throw around. Between the warm water of the Gulf and the warm water in the pool, they happily bounced back and forth between the two. If they needed a break from the sun, they walked back to the room to chill and enjoy the Wifi. The breakfast buffet every morning at the Captain's Catch exceeded our expectations. There was an omelette station which my husband took full advantage of. The staff was incredibly friendly and after seeing us for just 2 days, remembered what each of us liked to drink in the morning. In fact, all of the staff at the resort were wonderful! We ate dinner one night at Shima and we all agreed it was actually better than our local hibachi place here in NY. Overall, this was a relaxing and enjoyable family vacation. We have never been to Sanibel and it is very apparent that a lot of the island is still coming back from the damage the hurricanes caused. We ate at some great restaurants, had a lot of laughs, and just had a fantastic time! I would not hesitate to recommend this resort to anyone looking to come down to Sanibel and enjoy the Gulf! And I look forward to returning soon!
